  8. I prefer not to go thinking what he may have been or done. I just enjoy the wonderful music he gave us. BTW: thanks for the article!
  9. Thanks a lot! Sy Oliver and Chris Woods look like very plausible guesses.
  10. And this sax player?
  11. I´m almost sure I know this trumpet player, but can´t bring a name (I´m an awful physiognomist!) Any help? Thanks in advance, Agustín
  12. ¡¡¡¡FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS, FLURIN!!!!
  13. Clark Terry, Sidney Bechet, Johnny Hodges are 3 of them. Thanks for your input, Chris. Wasn´t there already a Bechet (and a Hodges) volume in the previous Masters of Jazz series? Hodges (Master of Jazz vol.9) Bechet (Master of Jazz vol.4)
  14. According to their website, new releases from Storyville Records are coming out soon. And they´re going to relaunch the Masters of Jazz series: 12 new CDs, 6 to be released on May. No idea of what will come out, but the previous volumes on these series combine very rare sessions with others easily available elsewhere. A mixed bag.
  15. I´m afraid this won´t help either: http://www.bsnpubs.com/cadence/candid.html

  18. Ooops, I should have kept my mouth closed! Anyway, congratulations for one of the best websites dedicated to a jazz artist that I´ve ever known (and I can assure you I have more than two hundred jazz related websites on the "Favorites" tool of my internet navigator!)
  19. Look at the Norman Saks gallery and the Ephemera gallery at the Bird Lives website. There are a lot of autographed documents and, unless I´ve missed it, there´s no "Christopher" in any of them.
  20. ... and
  21. ... on the other hand...
  22. From Brian Priestley´s recent book on Charlie Parker. "Another discrepancy concerns [Charlie's] given name; although there are many references to him as 'Charles Christopher Parker', neither his birth certificate nor his gravestone shows any such middle name" British edition (Equinox, London, 2005 - p. 10)
  23. This week? How could I buy it two weeks ago second-hand at Jussieu Jazz? Absolute ditto to your comments on this wonderful disc!
  24. My best wishes for Marc and his family. He´s a very nice and reflexive jazz-loving guy. I wish he will recover and will be back soon! Though I´ve had a few interesting exchanges with him on and off the board, as I very seldom visit AAJBB lately, I didn´t know anything about his health getting worse.
