  1. Cool pictures, Noj. However, I tear those fekking strips from the CD case and toss them in the garbage while cussing Garth Brooks' name straight to hell.
  2. The discussion of Mosaic numbers keeps me in a groove when a regular Mosaic box is listed as OOP. It's interesting to see what numbers people are posting, in what order, when Mosaic moves a 'complete' set to the Last Chance section. Maybe I'm easily entertained? Since, according to Mosaic, the Selects are not necessarily issued in order, the numbers on the Selects don't carry much meaning (to me).
  3. I forgot to watch the initial run of Deadwood last summer. I just finished the 5th episode of Deadwood, this evening, via DVD. The foul language is present. The language, to me, is presented in a vulgar yet poetic sort of way. It's as if the writers are having fun with (and making fun of) the style of the classic western combined with the vulgar HBO-type language. The lead character, Seth, reminds me, at times, of the man-with-no-name character of the westerns of Clint Eastwood. The wild-eyed stares, the clinched jaw while speaking, the soft voice, the random moments of bad acting, the good guy who's not afraid to be bad to make things right. This is high entertainment for me.
  4. Does it have the cool "bagpipe" guitars? Errr... it has cool "moe." guitars. B-)
  5. I enjoy the redo of 'In A Big Country' on moe.'s DITHER release. I like it better than the original.
  6. Why did Yankee Doodle call the feather in his hat Macaroni?
  7. Do people with one leg have to buy both shoes or can they buy just one?
  8. How deep is the ocean?
  9. You're making the claim that U2 isn't a punk band? How long is a piece of string?
  10. AMG says Big Country is new wave, pop/rock, adult alternative.
  11. I have this very same thought/idea when one of my computer friends will go on a Mac praising torrent. As if he was in an exclusive, members-only, computer club.
  12. I'll continue to use my home-built Windows computers.
  13. 1998 was a long time ago in computer years. If I needed this software and didn't know anybody who had a copy, I'd start my software search/quest here.
  14. I agree. That is, if I'm understanding your point correctly. The thing that has kept me away from Apple is the way-over-priced price tag (in my opinion). Also, as far as I know, I can't buy the parts to build my own Mac. On the other hand, I do believe, for those folks who have the computer blues all the time, the Mac may be a better way to go regardless of the price tag.
  15. I don't mean to ignore the picture of Jaya. I don't have children. I do understand, however, those that who do have children, the children are very important to them. The way it should be, really. The preceeding words have been a preamble to what I'm going to write next. When I looked at the picture, I noticed the palm tree, the prickly pear cactus and the dirt in the background. I thought, to myself, that looks like somewhere in Tucson. I checked the notes under the avatar, to the left of the post, and there it is... Tucson freaking Arizona.
  16. I get it. EDIT: Whoops. When I first read the above words, I though it said 'days' rather than 'years.' It was funnier when I thought it said 'days.' Now that I know it says 'years' it seems a little sad that Windows (and I'm a Windows user) can still be such a pain in the ass, at times, when compared to the Mac and Linux operating systems.
  17. I don't know. The same thing here. What the fuck is going on?

    Feb 15 RVGs

I don't know if we'll ever see this one as an RVG. I mean, the word 'blue' reminds me of 'Blue States.' Then I start thinking of the Blue States versus the Red States. Before you know it the whole thing just becomes way too political. Note: posted with apologies to Kevin Bresnahan. I am very appreciative of knowing the truth about the BASRA fiasco.

    Feb 15 RVGs

The HEAVY SOUL RVG is my first, ever, listen/purchase of Ike Quebec material. I do have the Bennie Green Select on which Quebec plays on a couple of tunes. The Bennie Green Select doesn't have enough of Quebec to really 'hear' Quebec's playing. I'm impressed with HEAVY SOUL. I've played the CD many times since receiving the RVG yesterday. Quebec reminds me, mostly, of himself... Quebec. Other times I have thoughts of Stanley Turrentine. Freddie Roach's organ (no pun intended ) is equally impressive as Quebec's tenor.
  20. The funk has been removed from your computer?
  21. In between the doors is always where I request Mosaic have the package placed. Mosaic adds a label to the package for me. I assume the situtation, for you, isn't where the package was placed but that the wife found the package?
  22. It went quicker than I expected.
  23. Of course Dale Jr. will win. The race is fixed. We don't want Junior (or Mikey Waltrip) to lose on the same track that killed Junebug's daddy. I mean, it's a restrictor plate race and the DEI cars just cruise by the rest of the pack like nobody's business? Methinks the DEI cars have a larger hole in the restrictor plate.
