  3. Yeah, pictured above ... forgot about it, got that one as well. Furthermore, he pops up on a session on the "1951" Chrono by James Moody.
  4. You can hear him in an early outing as a violin player on a Kenny Clarke session, too - got that one as part of "Klook's the Man" (Proper 4CD). Other than that, I've got exactly what you've got.
  5. it's not quite late November yet ...
  6. I'll get a replacement for the lost Gaslini whenever it's available again ... but damn, I've had a whole load of back luck with amazon orders last week, this was the worst.
  7. I can very much relate to that ... also to your previous post of course - about need (or lack thereof) to hear stuff at home vs. in concert. I play less and less contemporary avantgarde-leaning music at home. Tough I keep buying some kinds of. My Leo discs get few spins only, and honeslty I've not heard all the ten I ordered in last year's sale. Still I am tempted to get a few again this time ... filling some Taylor, Sun Ra, Art Ensemble gaps, maybe. Will have to inspect that list a little closer first though (and check if I still have my wantist from last year somewhere - probably not, so it's going from scratch again).
  8. Gee, get those international orders in the mail now, willya? I can hardly hold off listening to the files - which I got without any trouble, there was an error message on the first page, but if you pursue, you can still access them (might be worth telling those who run into problem, in order to save your own server some load). Anyway, I really want to first listen to this on CD! Looking forward an awful lot!

    Richard Raux?

Not life-changing ... but if you can get it for change (like I did, several years back), get it!
  10. Not sure I've got any choral stuff of his ... if at all, it's very little, so this is most welcome to me. I might of course still make up my mind in that it is really overkill, eventually ...
  11. kewl ... just ordered, should be mighty interesting!
  12. Thanks, that looks interesting! I remember hearing about that Green album - got to look for this twofer then!
  13. That Rubinstein/Krips K 491 is magnificient! Havne't come around to their Beethoven cycle, but that Mozart, gee!
  14. Stéphane is great to deal with, indeed! I just got home and hey-ho, ordered very late Friday night, discussed in detail on Saturday, shipped on Monday, here was my package! Just put the Gyldene Trion disc in the player - funny coincidence that the Kullhammar-thread was recently up again, too - since the days it was started I wanted to check out that guy's music some more, and now I'm listening to him tearing up "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" (how's that for a tune that's not been played to death?!)
  15. Great, glad you could still take advantage of the sale
  16. Which Rivers is in the set? I didn't manage to work that out... Ah. Got the LP. On CD ages ago right? Thanks. Yes, but I've not checked for it for a while. Heard a friend's LP years ago (it has one big, horrid scratch, alas) and thought it was real good.
  17. Don't know that one ... but wins all prices with Coltrane and Lady Q, too! And that Concord album with Frank Foster pictured above is wonderful, get hold of it if you can!
  18. I get free shipping from neighboring EU countries' amazon sites, too (.it, .fr and .de) - but no free return shipping ...
  19. Oh, wow, must be because I'm not living in the EU then ... didn't know! Several times I returned items where postage cost me 15 or more euros and I got an automated refund for 1.40€ or something like that ... then complained (since I'd received faulty goods, like box-sets with a disc missing) and got the rest of the sum refunded, too - but at the post counter, I always paid myself.
  20. If you have free shipping from amazon.de you can buy the set at pre-order price, keep it unsealed and then if the reviews are bad, return it. I think you have 30 days for return, and it should be free. But you do have to pay the shipping yourself (unless you receive damaged goods, then they give you a refund for the shipping expenses). With such a set, shipping won't be cheap ... (and in my case, add official bribing of what are known as the infamous custom nazis) No, it is free. At least here in Austria. really? I always paid fully for any returns ...

  22. And that's a very good one! Also his Savoy recordings from the fifties. Got to dig them up again ...
  23. Happy Birthday, Chris! Hope you're doing fine!
  24. I just want the Rivers, damn you Universal!
  25. Saw the Fresh Sound reissue of some (or all) of these, but I don't think I ever actually heard him play ... guess they're worth checking out?
