As addictions go, it doesn't get any worse than this. Call it a sickness if you will, but that's just a cop out. Many addictions only directly effect those who are addicted, some effect immediate family members, some, the victims of the crimes that are committed in their behalf, but this...this one preys on those who are least able to defend themselves and in a way that will almost certainly leave them scarred and dysfunctional for the balance of their lives. Sorry, but there's no sympathy here. Nothing I can imagine is any more disgusting, heinous or incomprehensible. Nothing.

Even though what she eventually became was/is almost caraciture-like, you have to have the raw material with which to work. I seriously doubt all the plastic surgery , tucks, suctions and enhancements in the world could have turned Janet Reno into a sex symbol.

Gotta disagree with David on this one. While I'm glad to see Montero get off to such a good start, I'd still rather have Lee in pinstripes. The Yanks with Sabbathia and Lee at the one two would have to be the World Series favorite. With just Sabbathia and a bunch of guys named Moe, another championship a long shot. That's kind of unfair. If and when Mosaic uses needle drops, they are very up front about it and do so only after they've looked at all available source material and determined that the ND is the best possible representation of a piece of music. Further, the percentage of ND's they resort to is miniscule in comparison to the totality of what they're reproducing.

I'm still not sure how an instrumental musician's "straightness" or "gayness" influences his or her music. I'm not saying it doesn't, just that I don't understand how it does. Would someone be willing to take a run at that?
