Very sad news. Seeing DLAD live at the Empty Bottle is still one of my favorite live experiences ever, thanks in no small part to TK's cosmic shapes. RIP, sir, and thank you.

I just heard about this last week. Gary was a friend and put my band up on tour, among other kindnesses over the years. RIP to my pal and condolences to Bronwyn.

Bumping this because I finally got around to watching the documentary on Amazon Prime. Very good, although it just reminds me of what a huge loss this remains.

Looking forward to that next volume, Cliff. I'm a 70s Rivers junkie myself (not at the expense of the 60s, of course), went on a major vinyl binge a couple decades back.

I haven't noticed any tracks not playing, Kevin, but some of these discs are way more skippy/glitchy than typical commercial product.

I see things the same way David does re. the timeline. I'm also really hopeful that some of the treatment therapies folks are grinding on might prove successful. That could be a game-changer too. But so far, swing and a miss. My wife and I are both used to working from home, and we're homebodies, so the transition hasn't been too bad. But yeah, teaching college via Zoom isn't exactly a thrill a minute.

No March Madness either, David. I gotta figure out how to teach online sometime between now and the week after next.

All my spring talks have been postponed until next academic year. 5 more cases in Wake County in the last day or so, and I fully expecting the NC system to go online teaching for the rest of the semester. Rooster_Ties, I share your concern. We've known about this since January and this is where the testing stands: We're about to be massively overburdened, I suspect. Is anyone surprised, given the anti-science yahoos in charge?
