I saw FZ in Cleveland on this tour and I'm pretty sure he didn't play a note of guitar all night. Was an amazing gig though.
  2. We're making good progress nationally in general, but there is disparity among the states. Also, we're dealing with a robust population of deniers and skeptics, so that's also a factor.
  3. Our library has the same dates as Dub Modal's, alas. I wonder if that reflects a gap in what the PC has made available. Perhaps there was even a fire or something similar at some point? Sorry, Dan.
  4. I love the MOI stuff for sure, and have a soft spot for Flo and Eddie ("Billy the Mountain"!). But for me the greatest FZ band is the Roxy band.
  5. Same, Cliff. I'm gonna pick up some stuff this evening, maybe fill in some holes in 1970s FMP, some recent Room40, a few metal records.
  6. I live in the kingdom of vinegar-based 'cue and I have seen the light. Also, Wickles Pickles makes for a delicious garnish.
  7. David, I'd love to hear any additional thoughts on the big ol' Prince reissue.
  8. The Ehrlich dates are extremely good, as is Rothenberg's "Powerlines," Robert Dick's "Third Stone from the Sun," ROVA's "No Favorites," Varner's "The Window Up Above," and Malaby's "Paloma Recio." Really strong catalog, and that's just jazz stuff.
  9. Almost forgot the fine John McLaughlin JMT, the Festival Hall date with Gurtu.
  10. DIW certainly had range. There's a great Marc Ribot solo album, Don't Fool Me (I think that's the title). The debut from What We Live. The early Masada records. As for JMT, I love that Geri Allen too but I think of Tim Berne, Paul Motian, and Herb Robertson above all. Great string of releases from them all.

Bummed to hear about Eno too. Hear you, ejp626. The discrediting of expertise over the last several decades has made much of this foreseeable. Any minor crack in what might otherwise be eternal ontological certitude is interpreted as "Fauci doesn't know everything."

    Jesus, that's disappointing.
  13. Big Ears for me too. RIP, sir.
  14. Colossal loss. RIP, sir, and thanks for all the music.
  15. Very sad news. RIP, sir.
  16. Shocked to see this awful news. RIP.
  17. Not an informed scientist, but the several articles I've scanned suggest that as of now there's no evidence that it's more deadly or vaccine resistant.
