"Zyatshi" would be a most welcome reissue; I wonder if anyone has heard or knows about these tapes??? Imagine only those close to the source...

Sun Ra "heliocentric worlds vol.1" (ESP, mono textured paste on cover). One of the first sun ra records I ever bought...around 1991 if memory serves correctly. Holds up as one of my favorite Sun Ra albums...at least in the top 5.

I've seen them at least 5 times over the last 20 years; would be strange for me to see them without Misha behind the piano...

Don Rendell "space walk" (EMI Columbia, UK). This copy is pristine...great 1972 session.

Freddie Hubbard "goin up" (blue note, 47 w 63rd mono) a slightly worn copy but plays surprisingly well...these old blue notes are pretty durable! A beautiful date by an all star cast.

Playing CDs now but earlier I played: Karin Krog "Joy" (Sonet, Japan)

I had this lined up in my 'for sale' pile. I played it again for one final time and loved it and wondered why I'd thought that way about it. Now not being sold.

Love the Wergo one...actually my favorite of the early titles.

Sad news; I have a few of his early Transatlantic lps and the first few Pentangle albums as well....

Well today I came home from work to see a big fat box from CDJAPAN had arrived! Oh, and I also noticed a bit of a knowing glare from my wife Anyway I got these titles: Jackie McLean "Demons dance" (on recommendation from a board member) Sonny Clark "leapin and lopin" (my favorite Sonny Clark album..have the orig NY USA LP and the old American CD version) Joe Henderson "inner urge" Joe Henderson "our thing" Bobby Hutcherson "Dialogue" (have a mint Liberty LP and RVG CD and am curious how this transfer will compare..a favorite) Dizzy Reece "blues in trinity" Sonny Rollins "vol.1" Sonny Rollins "vol.2" Kenny Dorham "round about midnight at the cafe bohemia" (on recommendation posted on this forum) The Jazz Messengers "At cafe bohemia vol.1" (sick of getting outbid on the original vinyl so this will do for now!) And outside of this series I also received: Wayne Shorter "EtCetera" (LT999 series) will be curious to see how this compares to the old Connoisseur version I have..one of my favorite Shorter records.. Thankfully recent changes to my job now allow me to listen to music at work all day! So I think I'll be ripping alot of these to a USB stick to play at work...

GAP "s/t" (ALM, Japan)

Sonny Greenwich "the old man and the child" (Sackville, Canada). Nice 1970 session...from a 2LP set featuring a similiar vintage Don Thompson group session on record #2 featuring Greenwich on guitar.

Being a huge Bastro fan in my youth; and a big Squirrelbait fan before that in the late 80s, I was sort of let down by Gastr Del Sol's drag city output. I think the Teenbeat releases were their pinnacle...

George Russell "electronic sonata for souls loved by nature" (Flying Dutchman, USA)

John Carter/Bobby Bradford "flight for four" (Flying Dutchman, USA). Have not played this in at least 15 years...superb album!

I need to justify my extravagant purchases over the last 25 years by actually playing them

TOKK ensemble "music for living process" (RCA, Japan). Always good to hear Toshi Ichiyanagi and Takehisa Kosugi performing together...

Michel Portal "our meanings and our feelings" (Pathe Marconi, France). I paid a good chunk of change for this around 20 years ago but do not regret it as this copy is in perfect condition and has not a single pop to be heard. Great session and impeccable recording quality...

Thank God for those Sony CD reissues from some years back! I got rid of my Howard Riley CBS Lps after those CDs came out...too many Rice Krispies in the mix Have a visually mint "turn circle" but as per usual it has its share of snap, crackle, and pop.
