    At dinner today there was a husband / wife / son family sitting at a table. The son was no older than 10. Dad and mom barely spoke a word to each other. The kid had headphones on and was glued to a portable video device, watching UP. I saw him reach across the table several times, without taking his eyes off the screen, to get another dinner roll.
