Does anyone here know anything about upgrading MySQL from 3.28 to 4.1? I've read about it on the MySQL homepage, but it appears to be a bit over my head. I don't need to do it in order to perform the "full text" indexing, but just having MySQL 4.1 will speed things up considerably even before doing the indexing. If someone out there knows what I'm talking about, could you PM me please?

As you all know, the board has been running quite slow lately. This is due mainly to more users accessing the database at once. I just spoke with the software company and they suggested I enable "Full Text" searching. Unfortunately, I cannot do this until I manually edit the database, which may take up to four hours. I will close the board at around 7pm tonight and hopefully complete the process within four hours. Thank you for your understanding.

It looks omni, but it is not. It's probably closer to hyper-cardioid, which means the pickup pattern is a bit wider than a traditional cardioid pattern. I have not had an issue with this. I don't know anything about the Shure Beta 5a, but Shure is always quality stuff and the Beta line is a good one.
