No, they put a tape deck in there so you could play along to tunes. Organ kareoke.

Chris, I don't mean to be a buzzkill, but you should've asked before bidding. I do not believe that is a tonewheel Hammond but rather one of the later transistor models. To be curt, don't expect it to sound anything like a Hammond B3, if that's the sound you're going for. The tonewheel organs to look for are the C2, C3, B2, B3, any of the A-100's (A101, A102, etc.), to a lesser extent the L-100 or H series, or even the M2 or M3 (although those lack decent bass, but they are good to get going on). Anything else is really not worth the investment. Anything with a "built-in" Leslie is not going to be a tonewheel organ. Sorry.

That article was lame. What, Duncan shouldn't foul out because he's a All Star? An All-Star is incapable of making six fouls? Tell that to Chauncey Billups last Wednesday! -

I don't think Herbie needs to worry about his legacy. Did you see those youtube videos I posted of his performances on the 1984 & 1985 Grammy Awards? If that can't tarnish him, nothing will!!!

Well, I blame the Pistons losing to the Spurs in game 7 last year on Brown. He did not use the bench at all, which was admittedly worse than this year's, but the starters just plain wore out. I don't understand why Brown did not at least try putting Carlos Delfino on Manu Ginobli, considering the two played together at the Olympics. That would seem to give Delfino an edge in defending Ginobli, in my mind. Chauncey needs to take it on himself to constantly be agressive. I mean, who is guarding him? Flip Murray? Damon Jones? PLEASE! Of all the Pistons, there are two players that NOBODY on the Cavs can guard and that is Chauncey Billups and 'Sheed. The two of them need to get their asses in gear and lead the team. I still think the Pistons will win this series. But they better come out on Friday with a head full of steam and never let up. -

True, but "superstars" get away with travelling and more. I counted at least a half dozen times last night when Lebron used his off-arm to push away a defender (twice on one drive, actually) and they never called it. That said, the Pistons should've still won that game. I do not understand why Chauncey didn't get going until the third quarter and then as soon as he started getting hot, Flip pulled him. -

I will say that Veraejo (or however you spell his name) is a cheap player. He moves on every screen he sets and they never call it. That said, maybe being down will finally motivate the Pistons to elevate their game. That's usually what it takes. Otherwise they might follow the Red Wings this year. -

Due to an increase in these kinds of spam (probably originating from one person, and I think y'all know who I'm talking about), which are characterized by someone registering from a ****@mail.ru address and posting and running, I've had to make it so that when somebody registers, I actually manually validate them, as well as there being an email validation. I don't find this stuff funny. -
For an instrument named "The Hammer", they better use it to play some goddamn Transiberian Orchestra!!!

Tubes: In Russia, racketeers are still running wild
Jim Alfredson replied to 7/4's topic in Musician's Forum
I think so too. Folks on other boards seem to think that job training, equipment and the EPA would be a problem. Ship the equipment from the factory in Russia to here. Bring over people that want to work. Get the factory up to EPA standards. Seriously, if you're selling 170,000 tubes per month, and the entire music industry is freaking out about you going out of business, it seems like it would be worth it. -

but then how will you play against miami (you know, the team that stinks) in the next round! I'm not saying the Pistons will lose. I don't think they'll keep playing bad the rest of this series. I think they were trying to play to the level of their opponent and then figuring they could flip the switch when they needed to, and obviously Lebron is too good to let that happen. So the next two games, the Pistons need to come out on all cylinders (har har) and put the game away early. Don't worry. You'll get to see the Heat get their butts creamed by the Pistons again this year! -

If the Pistons play like they have the last two games (one-on-one, no passing, standing around like fools, no defense) then yes, they will lose this series. If they get back to playing how they did the first two games (the extra pass, running the floor, not letting the shot-clock run down to 6 seconds before making a move, smothering defense) then they'll be fine. We'll see what team shows up on Wednesday. -

Excuse me for being naive, but if he's turning out 170,000 tubes a month, why doesn't he just close the factory and move the operation over here? -

The Pistons played like shit tonight. That said, the last play by the Pistons was horribly officiated. Rip got fouled bad and then when they didn't call that, the Cavs get the ball even though they are the ones that pushed it out of bounds. Oh well. If the Cavs win the next one, I'll start getting worried. Until then, GO PISTONS! -
