  1. Hey, hold on a minute... who started this board?! You'd all be on the street, or worse yet, at the BlueNote Europe site if it weren't for me!!!
  2. Or do a drop D tuning and... waitaminute...
  3. A little from Column A, a little from Column B...
  4. I'M CRACKIN' DOWN, Y'ALL!!!!!
  5. In tomorrow's paper: ________________________________________________________________ WANTED: Guitar player for innovative organ trio. Must have good songwriting skills and own gear. Music-reading skills a bonus, but not mandatory. And no super-lame dudes who think they're better than me. If interested, please call (517) 555-1101. Serious inquiries only, please. _________________________________________________________________
  6. Hey ss1, you ever been on any of the ESPN NBA message boards? I swear everyone on those things is mentally challenged.
  7. But no Organissimo... I sent them a package but never heard back.
  8. Found this on the jazzhouse.org forums (The Jazz Journalists Association): I'm honored that you'd pick us as a Top Ten release of 2003... but I never heard that you did!!!!
  9. I'm not necessarily offended, but I don't think this is the place for it either. We are trying to attract a diverse membership, including women, and this isn't really a good way to do that. That said, just like with our member "Saxophone Vagina", I'm not going to censor you. If you like it, keep it. But I've been to some forums where members have gone overboard and have actual porn pictures in their avatars and sigs. It's supposed to be a professional audio forum and it's just childish. It's your call, dude.
  10. So I'm doing a google search on "organissimo" tonight (just for shits and giggles) and I run across this comment on another music forum: Names have been removed to protect some person and his/her made-up alias that means nothing in the real world B) ... actually because it's not important. Member#1: Member#2: These post are from January of this year. Is this really how people see us? Personally I've been growing very tired of the politics forum. The same arguements, the same people arguging, the same insults, the same bullshit, nothing ever changes. I feel like it's just a couple of bullies who live across the street from each other, shouting at one another from their bedroom windows, but never actually listening to one another. What's the solution? I don't know. But I'm not impressed if this is how some people see this board. I did not create this place in order for it to turn into a juvenille shouting match.
  11. The Other Organissimo!!
  12. Crap... looks like we're gonna owe some pretty serious money. And since The Man took everything out of our savings account the other week (which is where my wife was saving for 2003 taxes), we're gonna have to improvise (ie, time to sell my kidney on the black market!) Ha!
  13. I know Chuck. I should just put the porn links directly on this site so we can save time.
  14. Nothing like proving that you're a twit. Thanks for the clarification, buddy.
  15. Somebody who got screwed on another forum I frequent posted the guy's user name and everyone from that forum sent him nasty emails. It was pretty funny. SHAME HIM INTO IT, my fellow Organissimites!!!
  16. Hal, Glad everything worked out well. Best of luck for you and your family! ----Jim
  17. Greg, next time they are in Michigan let me know and I might be able to score some backstage passes for you.
  18. Karl's band was tight and super funky! The keyboardist had a modded A100 Hammond up there and a Fender Rhodes along with a little synth. He was cool. The drummer was superbad, though. Funky as hell!
  19. And point to point wiring... and big speakers! I betcha they sounded pretty good.
  20. The IP address only matches "4horsemenoftheapocalypse". Could it be someone we know? Sure. The IP address resolves to a public library in NY, but the address is actually owned by a company in Colorado, so who knows. Somebody has nothing else better to do.
  21. Ah, I haven't banned anyone in such a long time. So much fun. This guy has registered before as "4horsemenoftheapocalypse" from the same IP. Have fun in banned land, troll!
  22. Joe and I went to the show with the bassist from my R&B band, James Williams. His brother, Lamar Williams, played with the band from 1973 until his death from cancer (due to his exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam) in 1983. Lamar was also in Sea Level with Chuck Leavell. So whenever ABB comes to Michigan, James can go and see the band, backstage and all that. He was kind enough to take us along. Derek is young, but he's very nice and an extremely fine player. We also got to meet some of the cats from Karl Denson's group, which opened for ABB.
