No seriously though, I like Kenny best when he's with John Abercromie, or at leaast a 'crunchy' player capable of injecting some vim into proceedings. This is not to say that I think Wheeler's playing is ineffectual, but a good foil for his beautiful, and often plangent tone is needed IMO.

I find from the limited exposure I've had to him, he's got quite an original sound. He plays on the Jeff 'Tain' Watts album 'Citizen Tain' which I've always found enjoyable.

Now please forgive my ignorance, but is that Florida? And does it ever get cold? Close, Arizona. And no, it never does get cold here, at least not in Phoenix. This winter was very short and very mild not unlike last year. We really only have two seasons, Summer and Spring. We will be well into summer temps here soon, 100+ for months straight. Yeah close Now I knew Phoenix was in Arizona, I did...honestly. But I'd never heard of Phoenix Beach; this is probably a sarcastic slight at how far you are from a beach, or is it a district around the city? If it is the latter, how did it get that name?

Had a good Friday; rode my bike, a fundraiser which I have helped organise for someone locally took place yesterday afternoon -- that was well attended and everyone had fun. Today: rode my bike then took off in the car to meet another local owner, so we could have a beer, talk spares, manifolds, gearboxes, cubes etc., while letting the kids play in playground. Tomorrow, ride bike for a long time and then hopefully have a nice relaxing evening with music, music, music. Once nipper's in bed of course. Wife is busy with orchestra all weekend ----
