  1. The ad that ran before the clip that wouldn't pause even though there was a pause button...that sucked too. All soft drinks suck....except root beer.
  2. Well, a lot of people will be out of work when it happens...don't know how good that is. Plus, the fewer U.S. makes, it just means more market share for foreign car makers. I know, they build them here now as well. Most of the money made goes back to Japan and South Korea though. Once China's slaves start flooding the market with really cheap cars in the very near future, they will take away Toyota and Honda's marker share anyway.....
  3. geez, berigan. your post was only two short sentences, and even then you managed to get your facts wrong. the "man" was felipe solis olguin, an archaeologist who died of a combination of diabetes and pneumonia. of course, i'll bet you donuts to dollars that when the flu does hit the u.s., some idiots are going to blame obama for it. Umm, you saying he wasn't a "man" robviti??? I like how you didn't quote the other line... Let's hope it was a different strain!!!! The other fact I got "wrong" from the article... a distinguished archeologist who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported. The newspaper didn’t confirm if Solis had swine flu or not. So, I got the info from the article, and at the time, they said flu like symptoms. I should have looked into the future and said it was the diabetes and Pneumonia. Still a bit strange to be well enough to meet with the president one day, and die the very next. Well, I shouldn't trust you to be right that it was etched in stone what he died of, should I??? Lets see, from an article in the Independent the nation's Health Minister confirmed that Mr Solis had died of pneumonia – but that it was not thought he had contracted swine flu. And a super smart guy like you are always telling us you are, should have noticed the flu has already hit the U.S. That fact was mentioned in the article I posted on the 25th
  4. Obama even met with a man that died of the flu the next day! Let's hope it was a different strain!!!! http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...refer=worldwide
  5. It has been so rainy and so cool for most of the spring! 3-4 days ago, the high was only in the mid to upper 60's in Atlanta. 90 today!

  7. Sorry to hear that! I don't know exactly how you know the starter is bad(tested, or engine just doesn't turn over???) but an old trick you may or may not know is to hammer(not too hard!) on the starter with a wooden mallet or a regular hammer, which did work for me on a couple of occasions.
  8. Heard her sing Cry me a River, back in 1999??? I mean, it doesn't even sound like her from the other show...I thought it was fake. But no stories saying it isn't her. This might be even more amazing. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...-unearthed.html
  9. The problem with the Jays is that most of the pitchers that helped them achieve that level of pitching last year are on the D.L. (McGowan, Litsch, there's someone else I think) or gone (Burnett). And most of them will be gone all year. I don't think its fair to expect the pitchers aside from Halladay to keep it up. Good point. And it's still early. It's what makes baseball so much fun, especially early in the year. Along with Toronto , Padres 9-4(A team that should be a safe bet to lose 100+) Seattle 8-5....
  10. Happy(belated) Birthday!!!!
  11. Dan, XP I assume??? How old is your computer????
  12. A little late to the first game discussion. I was a little late to becoming a fan of the game(My parents were not fans-my Grandmother was though-had an apartment in the same complex as Rogers Hornsby in the 20's! ) I was about 10, and I remember being so excited in the back set of our car I couldn't stand it! Do I remember who the Cards played in 1977? Nope! Quincy, what was the price of box seats back then, $12- $14??? We still didn't get them, well, maybe one time. Wonder if we were ever at the same game. Wasn't like there were many fans then. Funny you should mention that. I was so excited we had traded for him, then he got hit by a pitch in his wrist and was never the same...but I remember a Cards-Cubs game when he was just about done, and he hit 2 homers against the Cards and I was happy about that. he nearly hit a 3rd one, but it just went foul.... Oh yeah, it was stupid of the Cards to trade Reggie Smith. They didn't like guys who had some pop in their bat it seemed.
  13. We really can be terrible. Almost as if someone who wasn't pretty simply couldn't have a good singing voice. I saw the story on CBS news last night. The woman spent much of her adult life taking care of a sick Mother. And she's never been kissed! Think of that when you are having a bad day. I wish nothing but the best for her from now on.....
  14. Yep, time to shut this thread down I'd say....
  15. Call the Marlins and get Hanley Ramirez that is what they were talking about last week on EEI. I would pull the trigger and send Bucholz ,Ellsbury and anyone else the Marlins need for Ramirez. Hey, good luck with getting Hanley from the Marlins! First off, the Marlins have more than enough starting pitching(IF they stay healthy) and will no doubt win the WS for the 3rd time this year. Then trade off Uggla and Hanley. Actually, they got a stadium deal, so they will try to hold on to him I'd imagine.
  16. Who is also, and why are you leaving her???
  17. And you might have to brush away a tear or two..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY
  18. Thanks Allen, I really have never had such a softball handed to me! Really, never!!! http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...;hl=scott+yanow
  19. To me, Chris is just fine, as long as we don't talk politics. But, sadly that's where we did much of our "talking" What I cannot understand is Chris saying Jim and his brother were deleting his threads when they weren't! Why say that???? What's the point????
  20. What, that overrated hack???? :rsmile:
  21. Man, it's been a rough few years for baseball announcers, hasn't it??? What a voice...rest in Peace.
  22. Jim, I love Pandora as well! didn't know you guys were there! But, can you do Pandora in your car??? FM only seems to get worse, and has more commericals than ever.... If my car (and it's radio) wasn't from 1973(and I had the moola) I'd switch to Satellite in a heartbeat.
  23. Funny, I just switched to Mozilla for Organissimo,2-3 days ago(Use mozilla most of the time anyway-pages just load faster for me) since half the time I tried to bring up IE, the page would never load. I do get that megaclick error page a lot more with mozilla. And would paste original link into IE and the page would often show up....IF I.E. would bother to load.
  24. You are right. I still think of Lyman Bostock now and then, and wonder if he would have become a hall of famer. Sure was a hall of fame human being. Can you imagine anyone today wanting to give back their salary after a bad month???
  25. Some terrible news, Nick Adenhart was killed along with 2 others by a hit and run driver last night. He had just pitched 6 scoreless innings for the Angels. Only 22 years old. http://www.tmz.com/2009/04/09/angels-start...fter-ball-game/
