  1. We all say things that appears stupid to others while seeming to be "right" to us. I'm don't believe that everything Reggie said was right but I am sure he was a good person (according to people that knew him better than I did). I don't agree with many statements made by many of our board members either (knowing we are all not the same and don't see things the same way) but don't think you are less of a person because of it......... Mark
  2. Not quite as good a deal though ...it's $69.00 with free shipping.
  3. ...not sure. He was a fantastic football player and a human being. Too young to die at 43.
  4. ....although it's only the 26th here, have a great birthday JazzMoose!
  5. Ghost, I have a friend that may; I'll try to check with him tomorrow. Mark
  6. Packer/Eagle great Reggie White has died from a massive heart attack earlier today . Only 43 years old. Very sad!
  7. They're now saying over 8500 are dead .
  8. I love these old shows! I also like the Jazz Scene USA shows with Oscar Brown JR. He's a little cheeeeesy, but they're still pretty cool! Mark
  9. ....seem to be healing up ok after the surgery, just a little sore. The Ipod is great; got about 6 hours or so of music downloaded into it already. Still trying to figure it out! You seem to have gotten quite a haul yourself. I bought both the books you mentioned prior to surgery so I'd have some good reading during recovery! Mark
  10. How do you remove the cds from your hard drive? I ripped them and transferred them to my ipod but don't want to leave that much on the actual hard drive. Thanks! Mark
  11. I actually got an ipod, which is so cool!!! I also got the Dexter Gordon Mosaic Select and the Gerry Mulligan Concert Band Sessions which I have already downloaded. I also received a few gift certificates and other assorted items. Got to spend the past 24 hours with family and friends after having my appendix yanked out on Wednesday.....each day is getting better! Merry Christmas to all! Mark
  12. That blows....but keep your spirits up ! Merry Christmas!!!
  13. I wish mine wanted me to have one !
  14. Since my gift exhcnage with my better half is just a few hours away and Christmas Day in just around the corner; I thought I'd start a thread about what, if anything you received (in the event you exchange gifts). It would be a first if I didn't receive a package from Mosaic for Christmas, as I have for the past dozen years. I'm sure I'll get a couple gift certificates for music as well. I actually asked for music/books and an i-pod (probably won't get it). We have a big family (I have six sister/zero brothers) as well as many brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, in-laws and so forth. For my immediate family's Christmas, we each draw two names during the summer months and go from there. I bought my girlfriend something that sparkles from Tiffanys (diamond earrings) and a digital camera plus a few other small items. I love Christmas and am always optimistic as the new year approaches! .....more to come! Merry Christmas to all!!!!
  15. Merry Christmas to all!
  16. ejp626, I also went to see Benny again but on Thursday night. I stayed for both sets as the first one had about 75 people in attendance and the second about 35 people. I got to speak to Benny for a bit after the show and gave him one of my photographs. At this show, he played Horizon Ahead, Pierre's Moment, Along Came Betty, I remember Clifford and Mister PC during the first set. During the 2nd, he played Whisper Not, Terminal 1, Surrey with a Fringe on Top, Penstiva (just the rhythm section), Sweet Georgia Brown and Stablemates. Although he plays many of the same songs show after show, they always seem a little different each time. Here's an image from the Thursday show. Mark
  17. ...just a lot of people with poor grammar, if you know what I mean!
  18. Hi Don, have a great Birthday! Mark
  19. Bol, Dusty Groove is nice; not a huge selection of cds, but a very good selection. No used cds, but they do have used lps if that interest you. Reckless Records will ocasionally have some decent finds and the Jazz Record Mart is a must. Mark
