    BEFORE MOTOWN is a great book, btw, a fascinating regional history that will appeal to anybody who's interested in some or all of the great jazz artists who have come out of Detroit. There's also now a website here. I will second David's thoughts on the book; a great read . Good to see thoughts from Jim as well! Mark

    I spoke to Fathead about the movie a few weeks ago when I saw him. He really thought the film was good and that Jamie Fox was outstanding. I asked about his character and he thought it was over the top, as Hollywood is know for but didn't say much more.

    ...easy for the guy to say! Hell no! Not easy at all! Trust me, I was freakin' out when the doctor said he'd have to do a c-section. I was also very relieved since my wife had been in labor for 24 hours at that point. That's childbirth!! Multiple conflicting emotions running rampant! ...just messin' with you Jim; I'm sure you were freaking! My comment sounds like something my better half would say if I said what you (and Jim) said!
