Me too. Dirty Harry, Taking of Pelham, Blaxploitation flicks. I love the scenes in the police precincts. Everyone looks so unhealthy. All the cops are fat, have bushy sideburns, and bad combovers. You can almost smell the stale cigarettes and coffee in the air. And they're always eating these enormous pastrami sandwiches... The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three is a great movie! Gotta say to that! I love that movie almost too much. Favorite line (among many): "You dumb sonnafabitch, you do what I tell ya or you'll be havin' DINNER with Caz Dulowitz!" The one time in the movie where the Matthou character really looses his cool.

I watched it several times on the big screen back in Boston. Love it.

Tarantino certainly has a way with dialogue, Alexander. Then there's that "pair of pliers and a blowtorch" line that he stole from Charley Varrick. He tends to steal from the best.
