Saw it today. Missed the extra scene past the credits. Film was okay, but nothing special. I didn't care for all the deaths and the darkness. Aside from Magneto, Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman dominated. Juggernaut is cool. Too damned many characters; too many mutants. You get the feeling the film maker was more concerned about technical mastery than with story--thus the many mutants and their special powers with little or no character development.

I'm going on record to predict the Pistons will beat the Heat in this series, but.... Where the Hell are all the Pistons fans? You guys don't believe in your team? $$1 is trashtalking and you guys are just eating it. Darko, Bruce, Jim.... Where's the belief? (But I must also say the Pistons have played w/o inspiration throughout these playoffs. They sure don't look like the same team during the first half of the season.) -

I read her "Island Possessed" about Haiti years back. It was okay, but nothing special. She apparently did some groundbreaking anthropological work down there. -

I talked to $$1 on the phone today and he wants me to announce that he's officially predicting a Heat victory tonight. He's at work and unable to post. He's also waiting on Jim's response to the bet offer. -

I saw the clip a few times on "Mike and Mike." No doubt in my mind: Terry sent a quick hook into Finley's groin area. It was short and quick, clearly designed to intimidate. -

GOLD

What a frustrating article to read! So which way is it going? $150/oz or $2,000-3,000/oz? Crazy. As I mentioned, I think it aint going below $500-600 range, as commodities have been repriced to reflect inflation adjustments. Fundamentals could bring it to the $2000-3,000 range perhaps? I don't know. If that's what he's saying, it's a pile of crap! Gold may be overbought right now, but i'm sure it's staying above the 200 day moving average. It needs to do that in order to remain technically bullish. Commodities guys love using charts. -

Have fun while you can, $$1. I know you took a lot of crap over the last couple of years with the Pistons, but they aren't ready to go under just yet. Are you due a cd or something if the Pistons get upset? -

True, but "superstars" get away with travelling and more. I counted at least a half dozen times last night when Lebron used his off-arm to push away a defender (twice on one drive, actually) and they never called it. That said, the Pistons should've still won that game. I do not understand why Chauncey didn't get going until the third quarter and then as soon as he started getting hot, Flip pulled him. I only saw the second half, but it seemed as if the Pistons acted like they could just turn it on at the right time in order to win the game. The Cavs didn't exactly cooperate, and with Sheed riding the bench and Chauncey fouled out, Detroit was left emptyhanded. Like I said, the Pistons will come out with fire in their eyes, and I expect a blowout or near blowout at Gund Arena (or wherever they play.) Then it's back to Detroit for the final. I still cannot see the upstart Cavs having the maturity yet to defeat the Pistons. No way is Cleveland beating Detroit for the fourth straight game. -

Great finish to a great game! I like the Cavs, but I'm going on record right now to say the Pistons will take the next two games and advance to the Conference finals. I even think the next game might be a blowout. Sheed will come out motivated.
