  1. 13/16 on the he/she cat quiz. Apparently, I'm better at differentiating the sex of cats than I am of humans.
  2. 10/16 on the test retake. I guess as I get older, I don't give a damn. They all look like women!
  3. No need for Americans to buy it in Europe. The store has an extra copy here that I can pick up for somebody.
  4. Chuck, do you have any animals??? Chuck is an animal!
  5. Immediately after the game, he rejected Peyton Manning's handshake. He also behaved badly when he shoved a photographer aside after the Jets game when he went to hug Mangini. He apologized to the cameraman afterwards. I think that BB gets unduly annoyed by the media, and perhaps felt anger that he was in a sense forced to hug Magini after the Press spoke about their frosty handshake after a season game. As someone who reads BB's press conferences during the season, I can tell you that he is always discreet and praises the opposing team and coaching staff. After losses, he is quick to point out that the coaching staff (such as himself) didn't coach a good game, etc. I'm not sure these are his true feelings, but years in the league have taught him to put on a gracious front at press conferences. I'm sure his real feelings are more likely expressed by more boorish behavior at the end of games. What did you read? I just noticed it at the time and then let it go. Didn't realize that it had become an "issue" or anything. Did he really go off on some people or what? Hey, I feel his pain, really I do. But shit happens to the best of us, ya' know? And it's not like the Colts were going to choke forever (a team like the Bills only comes along once in a generation). I just thought he could've handled the whole thing with a little more aplomb, even if it meant faking it, which it undoubtedly would have. But the guy's one helluva coach, no denying that.
  6. That's it. How much do they charge, Quincy?
  7. I'm still blue over the Pats' loss. BB did not behave very well afterwards. I am in agreement after reading about it. I think he knew that he had blown the game. That sucka was won! And the matchup with the Bears seemed a relatively easy thing after the Colts. It's so hard to make it to the Super Bowl, and they had a really good chance. Another ring would have cemented his legacy. So close, yet so far. I don't see how the Bears stand much of a chance in the Super Bowl, but you never know!
  8. I can get you a copy if you like. The cover has Miles playing on his trumpet. "Miles Davis Plays it Cool" Featuring Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, Jack Dejohnette. plus it mentions the two European dates. The back cover has a few photos along with track listings. The brand is "Footstomp" and says FSVD 016. It also says Pro-Shot, NISC Color, Approx 55 mins. Just PM me if you need to know anything else.
  9. I don't know what a dime dl is. I bought it at a local shop for $20. They had one other copy. No booklet but they do have a cover for the dvd.
  10. There's a lot more to this concert. The highlight is an abstract collective improvisation (Miles sits out) on "This". Guy Well, it's clear that they left stuff out. I'm happy seeing what they include. Were these "issued" on dvd anywhere else?
  11. It's called Miles Davis "Plays it Cool." Classic quintet in Stockholm, Oct. 31, 1967. 1. Agitation 2. Footprints 3. Round About Midnight 4. Gingerbread Boy 5. The Theme Miles/Shorter/Corea/Holland/DeJohnette. Rome, Oct. 27, 1969. 1. Sanctuary 2. Directions. Black and White video. Both video and sound are good, imo.
  12. DVD is Stockholm 1967 w/ Miles classic quintet and Rome, 1969 w/ Shorter,Corea, Holland, and Dejohnette. Are we talking about the same dvd? I guess not.
  13. BTW, my local store has another copy of this dvd. I think they've got it for $20.
  14. Jim, have you seen the DVD yet? How's the sound quality? Picture quality "Pretty decent, all things considering" is all I'm lookin' for -- doesn't have to be any better than "pretty decent". Mono sound, I'm assuming - which is also OK by me. About to pull the trigger, but looking for some firsthand feedback about this particular DVD incarnation of the material (since there are so many DVD's of this kind of stuff). Oh, ONE MORE THING, is the DVD a DVD-R?? -- or a real, "silver" DVD?? I cannot answer the technical questions, but the music is excellent. I think it would be right up your alley, Rooster, especially the band w/ Dejohnette, Corea, Holland, and Shorter. The classic quintet is great too, but both gigs are excellent in my opinion. Miles still had some good chops at this time. I recommend it.
  15. OK, I'm getting on live chat now and getting toasted. Where's Dolan?
  16. Mine was the same. I didn't see it necessary to change.
  17. ... or DON'T drink. As the case may be. Buzz is an honorary drunk.
  18. Went by the same name on BNBB. Too bad some members changed theirs. I'm still confused!
  19. Thanks Noj, but I'm okay. Defence did do a big collapse, but Colts can score on anybody. It just wasn't our year, and we probably outperfomed expectations. Re: Belichick beeing cheesed at the ownership for letting go players. I think BB was the one who played a big role in letting those players go. Ownership leaves all those decisions up to him and Scott Pioli. If there's anything to regret it would be the strange playcalling in the second half where Brady was in shotgun formation for much of it. The team has so much confidence in Brady that it isn't funny. I can understand that, but it's good not to score too fast. Get a few running plays in and let the D get a good blow on the sidelines. Strange offensive playcalls on the part of the Pats. Other than that, the players played their hearts out. No regrets. They left everything out on the field and proved they are one of the top handful of teams...still!
  20. lps only? I've got one of them on cd.
  21. Another thing to mention is that I've never known really driven people to accept defeat gracefully. They just don't. I don't think Ali was very good at admitting defeat; neither were Gary Kasaparov nor Bobby Fischer in chess. They hated to LOSE. Maybe Belichick is the same. I don't think he's got any kind of a life outside of football.
  22. I didn't stick around to see it, but both he and the team know they gave that game away. They had the Colts beaten but blew it. Good luck to the two teams in the Super Bowl. I'll likely sit it out, and wait till next year. In the end, we've got a couple of first round picks in the upcoming draft; and we'll likely become more of a player in free agency in 2007. The Dynasty continues....
  23. I'm a Bears fan (amazed?) and want Indy in Feb. I figure the Bears might lose to either team but I want the Patriots gone, just because. In the mid '70s we almost bought a nice house within a mile of the stadium. That deal was killed when Ann and I were "bumped" from our dinner in a very nice Boston restaurant so their quarterback (don't want to type his name ) could have our table. We were escorted out mid-meal. Chuck isn't Royalty in NE.
  24. I picked Chicago and NE to win today. Apparently, I am virtually alone on these picks. I went on ESPN.com and saw that only one "expert" had picked the Pats, and NONE had picked Chicago.
