  2. But you got all them damn insects. and snakes and gators!
  3. 8-10 inches already w/blowing snow in very cold conditions. I just "cleaned" my driveway, but the wind blows some of the snow back on it. The wind chill factor must be horrendous. I just drove to the store to get some brews while I still could...Ok, Winter, do your worst now!
  4. I'm starting to feel snowed in. Don't know what businesses will be open tomorrow. Maybe I should have a few drinks tonight... How bad is it in your area?

  7. I am not a Pete Carroll fan at all. He led the NE Patriots to complete mediocrity after Parcells left. Glad we've got a coach now.
  8. I do too. I miss the covers of Royal Flush and a couple of others from the Byrd/Adams set.
  9. albums or cds? It's unclear.
  10. Good news, Stefan.
  11. Excellent analysis, though I might add that it didn't hurt to test the Indy run defense. Of course, you need some offensive variety as well to keep them honest. Grossman had the training wheels on all night except when they got down too far on the scoreboard. It's amazing that Indy could win the Super Bowl with that run defense of theirs...Bob Sanders' return was huge as far as helping the run defense for the Colts, but it's still surprising that teams couldn't (or wouldn't as is the case with the Pats) try to exploit that weakness. Benson down for the Bears did not help that cause at all. Bottom line: AFC teams are still superior to NFC teams. When will that begin to even out? But excellent analysis, Larry. You sure you don't review sports as well as music?
  12. Congrats to the Colts! I did pick da Bears to win on a "feeling." That "feeling" was wrong!
  13. As mentioned in the first sentence of my post, I cannot defend BB on the forced practice, but I stand by my comments that Ted seems a little loose in the head right now. How do you explain his irrational attempts to rejoin the Patriots this year? Lyle Alzado's moods were affected by his steroid abuse. It led to irraitonal rages and such. No, it might not affect a player's brains, but it does affect his emotions. No, I am not defending BB or any other NFL coach on this matter. But I also think that Ted is not entirely reliable either. That's all.
  14. Regarding the Ted Johnson affair: I can't comment on whether BB forced him into practice when he should have been rehabbing, but I can say that Ted Johnson may not be very reliable at this point. After Junior Seau went down late in the season, he publicly declared himself available to leave retirement and play for the Patrioits. He lamented that the Patriots had not contacted him for that purpose. Huh? The dude isn't thinking straight. He has apparently lost a lot of weight since he left football. Some people believe that he used steroids throughout his career. He suffered from a bicep tear one year, then his other bicep tore the following year. These are steroid types of injuries. He was always unusually bulked up. It may have affected him mentally. Now, I don't know if those stories are valid or not, but it does make you wonder with the bicep tears and the strange behavior since retirement. He apparently is hooked on amphetamines. I just hope he recovers and I would support the Patriot organization helping him out if his medical condition outruns his money. He was a good player for the team, even if he was frequently injured. I just don't think the guy is thinking straight.
  15. SS1 is like the Browns. Both disappear at playoff time! (check his playoff record)
  16. Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
  17. Dolan=dick
  18. You look pretty scary to me, Randy!
  19. Love Red Stripe. But however, like all imported beers, its tastes SO much better at the source. I traveled to Jamaica a few times in my last job role, and from the time I got back to the hotel right up to bedtime, you couldn't pry those little fat bottles out of my hands. Absolutely delicious. Yeah, I'm a new convert to Stripe. I'm not a big beer conn., usually a pretty low brow domestic is fine for me. But I started playing a gig this year where it was all high end beers, so I got a red stripe 'cause it was (free, so ya gotta have one) red and white like Budweiser . Now I really dig this stuff. But it's GOT to be ICED COLD. Plus, is it just me...or does a whif of this stuff smell like ganja? It IS Jamaican. Not at all. To me, it's the great Jamaican water. Nothing is better!
  20. Swingers should do better than that!
  21. Same score for me though it took me a little while to figure out what a "gash" and "tash" were!
