The easy (and cheaper) solution is to just get the boxes and burn CDRs of the albums with the original track order.

I feel similarly about this group. They were really excellent.....one of the best bands I've ever heard on a recording. When I first heard recordings of this band, I used to wonder how this group would have sounded with a different musician on tenor, as Cliff Jordan sounded a bit tame at times. But I soon came to realize that when you are a reedman playing next to Eric Dolphy, unless you're John Coltrane, its pretty difficult not to sound tame!

Aside from the most obvious characters who may meet their doom (Christopher, Paulie, Phil), I'm getting the feeling that someone from the Soprano household will get it as well.

I think he still might be gigging around with the organ trio. Saw them play about a year ago....didn't care for them too much. He's a fine player, though.

The White Stripes have a new one coming out in June. I'm digging Jack Whites stuff lately...the last Stripes album and the Ranconteurs were both excellent. Can't wait to hear this new one.

I've been pleased with these final episodes so far. They are significanly more interesting than last year's episodes.

I'm really enjoying the new Nine Inch Nails release "Year Zero". Bloc Party is another band I recently discovered....great stuff to listen to while walking or driving through a city.

Has anyone heard that concert recording by Quest that just came out on Hathut?

This varies from listener to listener, but I've noticed that the poorer sound quality of this music can be a bit off-putting to newcomers. With this in mind, I always keep it strictly mid 1950's and later on the compilations I make for newbs.

I drove 5 time Olympic gold medal speed skater Bonnie Blair from Cog Hill Country Club to a banquet hall about 20 miles away. I once was Carlton Fisk's spot while he was doing a bench press. And while I was urinating in a public restroom, Roger Ebert came to the urinal next to mine and began to urinate.

It is a really fun movie. And Sam Jackson's quote is really one of the great lines in recent Hollywood history. When I think about it, whatever happened to the days of cheesy quotable lines from big, mainstream movies? Don't seem to get much of that anymore.

I was completely unfamiliar with this group until a friend hipped me to them, and I haven't been able to get it out of my cd player. Has anyone heard this album, or of LCD Soundsystem? This new one is really difficult to categorize. The grooves are definitely dance, but it has a strong indie rock sensibility and vibe about it, and yet the lyrics are distinct and poignant at times. The craftsmanship of the songs is very strong, but the album is still very fun and is great to play when you're out having a good time. Its a unique album....definitely my favorite non-jazz release of the year so far.

That is really cool. I hope to hear some reports from folks on the board about these gigs.
