  1. Just got Sonny Rollins Vol. 1 #150415 and it's the (remastered) RVG disc. The booklet and online doesn't say it, but it's RVG. (has BMG label on UPC code) Also got the Miles Davis SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE BLACKHAWK (2CD). (No BMG label markings)
  2. You can cheat with or without Turbotax.
  3. In December 2003, there was a free shipping deal with 70% off. Most box sets were included too. I bought a 4-CD set for $20. (plus tax) The Jeff Buckley (3-CD) set was $13.99 (plus tax) Funny thing about the Miles Davis JACK JOHNSON box set, BMG has it listed as a 6-CD set. (it only has 5-CDs)
  4. I've used Turbo Tax for about 10 years. Each year you buy the new software for the year. No yearly upgrades. It was $34 less $10 rebate from Costco for 2003 tax year. Fed/State (DEluxe version) Usually goes on sale just after Thanksgiving. Satisfied. But last year was a real hassle. I use several computers and laptops and don't like to be restricted to which PC I use. My wife can do her thing on another computer too. Also, PCs are being replaced or modified, so you need to be able to move your software around easily. If you can get your taxes done for $80 - that's a bargain. I'm assuming they do a good job. Your taxes sound pretty straightforward, so maybe that's why they only charge you $80. For me, the software is nice because I don't have to worry about calulation mistakes. And the figures are transferred from form to form automatically. If you wait till around Jan 15th, basic (FED only) Turbotax can be found for about $20.
  5. What's interesting, is that the 1999 version with Stereo & Mono does not have all 3 of the bonus cuts. I think it only has 2 of the bonus cuts.
  6. New: Miles Davis JACK JOHNSON box set Dolly Parton JUST BECAUSE I'M A WOMAN (re-issue) Elvis Costello NORTH (but it appears to be w/o the DVD)
  7. I've been getting alittle bored with Rock, jazz, country, blues - so the local hip-hop station is on my car radio. Nice beat - sure makes the car bounce.
  8. Yeah, I did that on some of my auctions. A penny min. bid with a $3.50 shipping charge for an LP. Ebay still got some extra fees for the PayPal amount.
  9. I can't go to bed before midnight.
  10. I'll take any team for the Super Bowl. As long as the those lame RAMS aren't there, it will be a good game.
  11. On the other end, sometimes there is a good BUY IT NOW. So the early bird catches the bargain.
  12. Yes, but only a year after Mosaic releases them. ubu Hasn't it been a year since Mosaic Select #1 was released?
  13. The current mail order price is $39/per Mosaic Select. The retail BORDERS price will be $49.
  14. It's amazing how people are 'scared' to leave negative feedback.
  15. Does Blue Note send out a brochure?
  16. No mention of Stuff Smith set being OOP.
  17. Nice write-up on all the Mosaic Selects
  18. I'd love DVD versions of Buck Owens on Hee Haw with other artists. Also like to see some Hank Thompson on DVD.
  19. This is a collectors' item. If you like to collect LPs and like Lucinda Williams, it's OK. If you just want the music - get the KOCH re-issued CD. All the tracks are now on the re-issed KOCH (white) LUCINDA WILLIAMS CD as bonus cuts.
  20. I like Norah Jones and Van Morrison. Al Green? I have his early stuff and one of his CD box sets. Bought the Norah Jones and Van Morrison Blue Note stuff. But Al Green? Did it sell? Is it any good? I thought he's a preacher
  21. I guess Green Acres is being released for the SIMPLE LIFE crowd.
  22. Yeah - the team is on the 15 and they have a chance to win. What was he thinking????? Guess he was betting on the game too.
  23. I was going to vote for Armstrong, but then I thought Ellington was more serious. Guess Pops would have fun. B)
  24. Can I remember? Probably got a Blue Note cut-out LP for $2.99
