  1. Probably just a problem with an update fix. Programmers aren't perfect.
  2. Yeah, Yao needs to get some muscle. Reminds me of Bradley (?), who was tall and skinny. I didn't see the Laker game. Is Malone knocking everybody over yet? With Malone and Shaq blocking the inside, how does anyone go inside? Kobe can score, but is George and Fox still missing all of their shots? Sacramento is still the team to beat.
  3. I'm still looking for those. I've seen the white Reese cups, but I'm not into white chocolate. Kit Kat also has MINT and ORANGE bars. I've mainly seen these for sale at Dollar stores. Gotten some good deals at Eckerds: 62 cents for a 4.5 oz package that has 6 individually wrapped 2-stick bars. (kinda like 3 regular bars) The Dollar store sells them for $1 obviously.
  4. Does anybody know about FROM A WHISPER TO A SCREAM (2001) and OUT OF IRELAND (2003)? Are they the same movie?
  5. Have you tried these? Wow, I love 'em.
  6. How did the Lakers win? Weren't they losing the whole game...
  7. Reserves??? Well, why not post your reserve price?
  8. Is there a Jazz Hall of Fame?
  9. the library has those Mosaic sets
  10. Aren't alot of the early Bob Seger albums OOP on CD? Will they get re-issued now? Rhino???? Shout???? Sundazed????
  11. My thought exactly, even before I opened this thread! Is Ted going into the Hall of Fame today too? http://www.rockhall.com/hof/currinductees.asp
  12. Besides 2 vouchers, I also got a $13.86 check in the mail from the antitrust suit. BMG is sending 1 of the voucher CDs already, $4.86 total. ($4.45 plus 37 cents tax, no shipping charges)
  13. reduced prices
  14. Remember, Warren Zevon said "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead."
  15. Latest releases available at BMG: Emmylou Harris STUMBLE INTO GRACE John Mellencamp - TROUBLE NO MORE Bette Midler - ROSEMARY CLOONEY
  16. I still like the McGuinn stuff and Hillman solo or group tracks. Desert Rose Band was good.
  17. Just used the conference calling system. Very easy. Works well too. Free long distance calls!
  18. I can understand the downsizing of the classical sections. But jazz? The DVD market has gotten very large. Seems like everybody has a DVD player and way too many movies. Does Amoeba ever have any sales??
  19. People are strange. DOORS
  20. I just tried this free software from skype.com and it works well. The sound is similar to a regular phone call. It works like instant messaging. Yes, you can do text messaging too. Just buy a mic (I got a headset/mic from Radio Shack for $3). Obviously, both parties have to be online at the same time and have the skype software. Works with with XP computers. Supposedly, the latest software, also works with 98 operating systems too. It also has the ability to do conference calling. I haven't tried it yet.
  21. Let me know what extras you have to trade? Can't say I'm hot on the trail for anything particular (at this time). PM or email me.
  22. I think a very large percentage of what is in this box won't be issued for a long time - if ever. There are 3rd and 4th takes of some tunes and I believe these are the only issues EVER of those. At this stage -15 or 16 years after the first of these boxes was issued, a lot of the MASTERS are unavailable on cd. I really think there will never be a reissue of this material as complete as this. Yeah, but since LPs can be transferred to cdrs. I'm sure that have been a ton of transfers already. Then look at what Definitive and other European companies do after 50 years... Just bug one of those companies and I'm sure we'll see the Complete Commodore issued as a cheap box set. Probably about $5/disc.
  23. French RCA issued a series of 23 LPs in the '70s 'The Works of Duke Ellington' which had all the Duke RCA sides up to the 1952 concert in Seattle. With a number of alternates that were unreleased at the time. Thanks brownie, Now I remember all those French RCA (black and white overs) reissues. I got some of the French Blues series on LP too. Just was remembering all the funny colored 2-fer Bluebird LPs that made up of most of the other complete series. Like Fats Waller, Bunny Berigan, Glen Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey...
  24. Yeah, I got an extra (4cd) HOT BOX. Anybody interested?
