  1. I dunno...I saw it more along the lines of Biko or Finding Forrester: another black man who makes it thanks to the help of a dedicated whitey...
  2. Lew Tabackin Charlie Rouse Paul Desmond
  3. I'm just the opposite (fan of Foxx, don't care for Downey), but I think I'll pass.
  4. Fats Domino Chubby Checker Ernest Tubb
  5. So, where's Hamburg? ...though it does explain Vienna. Ouch!
  6. Stanley Roper Jack Tripper Ralph Furley
  7. I'm disappointed, but here's the scoop.
  8. As I mentioned earlier, I've been away from baseball since '94 or so; the only player name I recognized during a Braves game the other day was that new kid, Chipper Jones. Imagine my shock at the first close up of his face...not exactly a rookie any more. Anyways, in this new world of baseball, I have no idea who is who, so pardon this ignorant question: Is Pujols for real? Or is he just another steroid junkie pumping up his numbers with the needle?
  9. God's gonna get you for that, Walter...
  10. I always knew that the type of person who would own a chihuahua would be the same type who would go to psychics...
  11. Ernie Pyle Robert Stack Cairn Carpenter (Hey, I'm desperate here; there's nothing worse than not being able to come up with a third...)
  12. Is that supposed to make sense? "transliteration" is (I think) what Allen meant - he's right about this. Ah. That would make sense.
  13. I don't like cane sugar. If they ever go back to using sugar beet sugar (as was common before the U.S. Government and it's "free trade policy" stepped in to shut down sugar imports), then sign me up. I tried Pepsi Natural, and couldn't stand it. Nothing but cane sugar and caramel; no cola taste at all.
  14. Best description of Pepsi I've ever seen.
  15. Is that supposed to make sense?
  16. Personally, I enjoyed the book. To a point. Come to think of it, I never finished it, so maybe this isn't a positive review...
  17. Ex Libris Ed Koch.
  18. Pam Dawber Conrad Janis Robin Williams
  19. It's already done, and yes, they do. Part of my bookkeeping job is sorting the store coupons (from our own flyer, which are just trashed) from the manufacturer's coupons, and I see quite a few printed from online coupons every day. Probably only 5% are printed, but it's a start. Now, in all honesty, I'm like most people: I'd rather see them just lower prices and quit wasting my time with the coupons. But if that's the game, I'll play.
  20. Really. I don't worry about things like pandemics, asteroid crashes, massive earthquakes, etc. If they happen, they happen. I'm too concerned about stretching my paycheck, holding on to my job, etc.
  21. I really haven't followed baseball since the '94 strike, but for some reason, seeing the Red Sox thrash the Yankees is still as satisfying as ever...
  22. Larry "Bud" Melman Cheech Marin Tommy Chong
  23. Hell, I've been using coupons for decades. Why throw away money? Of course, you have to be careful not to buy crap you normally wouldn't just because you have a coupon, but if it's something you buy anyway, why not?
  24. Jeez, Al; this reminds me of the guy I saw at Candlestick Park at a Giants game back in the eighties who pulled a handset out of his "backpack" and was saying "guess where I am?"
  25. Billy Ocean Johnny Rivers Roger Waters
