  1. Pomeranian Great Dane Niels Bohr What rules? Oh...sorry!
  2. Yeah, and you can pick up some cool Nessa discs along with it!
  3. I tried that once at Tower, hiding their last copy of Byrd in Flight in the Kenny G section, but someone found it before I got back! I don't know if someone was onto the trick, or some Kenny G fan out there got the surprise of his life...
  4. I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't wait for that first post looking for info on the Nervous Norvus Mosaic set!!
  5. Could they perhaps be Golden Records? I don't think so, but at this point, who knows?
  6. Yeah. All we're gonna tell you here is not to use your Mosaic boxes as speaker stands...
  7. We're afraid to pull the feeding tube...
  8. Lucky dog, you!
  9. My earliest memories are of a boxed set (of course!) of childrens records, sort of a 'musical history of America'. The memory is hazy, but it was, if I remember correctly, there were twelve. One was of marches, mostly Souza, one of Stephen Foster stuff, and on and on. Odds are, if I saw it now, I wouldn't recognize it, it's been so long.
  10. By the way, I should interject here that I voted for Najee...
  11. More than realize would be my guess...
  12. Man, people sure are quick to want to cut off discussion on this board lately... (Not directed at you, Hans; yours just happened to be on this page and easiest to quote!)
  13. Two points, Weizen, one of which obviously escapes you... 1) The word "gaydar" may or may not be offensive to gays; I wouldn't know. I wouldn't use it myself as it's just not in my vocabulary. Big Wheel says he's checked, and at least among the gays he knows, it's not, so I'll bow to his superior knowledge. But there is no doubt that the use of "gay" as a putdown is offensive to gays. 2) Shocking as this may be to you, CSI is a work of fiction. Even if the word "gaydar" is offensive, using it in a work of fiction (perhaps to indicate that the speaker is anti-gay?) may be intentionally offensive to ellicit an emotional response on the part of the viewer, painting the speaking character as homophobic.
  14. We generally refer to it as shit here. As in "what is that shit?"
  15. That's the way it goes with homophobic comments sometimes...darn planet! Heck, when the CSI gang entered an assistant DA's home in LA last night, one of the technicians (Warrick) said: "anyone else's gaydar going off?". They really should reprimand the conservative republican writer that penned that line, huh? That's funny...you don't usually come off like an ignorant twit...
  16. Uh...just a dying art?
  17. I must confess that the only one of these books I've managed to spring for is the collected writings of Thomas Paine. I'm cheap...
  18. ...and I thought OUR politicians were cheap!
  19. I've tried several times today, and only get a "stream not found" on winap.
  20. But Chris, I value those people...if it weren't for obnoxious sportscasters, then I would be the one with the worst fashion sense on the planet!
  21. God bless you, but I've been commuting to work on different forms of public transportation for the last 25 years. and it's made me understand that most people should be swallowed up, preferably by large mammals. I think that's highly unfair and, as a large mammal, I find it personally offensive. Reptiles should always be used for such purposes...
  22. That's the way it goes with homophobic comments sometimes...darn planet!
  23. Didn't see this until now. It's always too early, but 58? Wow....
