You know, one of the problems we have here is that this place really is more of a "hanging with pals at the bar" type board. In 'real life' (and I apologize for using that term) it's easy to deal with irritants, simply by ignoring them, or if they're too thick to take the hint, tossing their ass out of the bar. I don't see why it should be that different here.

Hey guys, I know it's easy to say this now, but this things usually work out in the end, you know? It takes a little patience, and for a while, you or your friends get shit on, but the thing to remember is that people like this never last for long. And the only know method for defeating an internet troll is to ignore them. If anyone finds another method that works, great, but for now that's it. And if anyone really thinks that the "chill out" and/or silence from other posters was an endorsement of the irritant over them, then they really are underestimating and insulting the rest of us. Heck, I did that myself before with a certain SACD lover. I argued and stormed and fretted, and in the end I finally realized "hell, everyone else knows he's an asshole just as well as I do; why am I trying to prove it?"

And of course, Rikki Don't Lose That Number is about smoking doobage with Rikki Lake while she foolishly bogarts the joint while rummaging through the fridge. Surely no one can argue with this interpretation...

Um...okay. Sounds like grasping at straws to make a point, but okay. The jury wasn't convinced by the prosecution's argument, or their rebuttal of the defense's rebuttal to that argument. I'm not sure how this is the jury's fault. Both sides seemed to be more intent on playing to the cameras than to the jury in my opinion. The bottom line is, the case was lost. You could see the case going south as it unfolded, and the prosecution looked hopelessly lost. My only question after seeing this case unfold is 'how shitty are the defense attorneys that actually manage to have an innocent client convicted, if prosecuters are this bad?'

Yes, that's exactly what it means. It's the prosecutions job to convince the jury. If they didn't do it, they didn't meet their burden.

Anyone else NOT agree with this opinion? No, I also don't agree with it (if that indeed is what you're asking! ). I agree except for the last sentence, however. I don't think the race of the lawyer mattered as much as the race of the defendant and victims.

Well, I tried to like the most recent reissue, as I've had it drilled in that I was "supposed" to prefer such things, but I gave up on trying to listen to it.
