Funny how no one is mentioning what a liar the brother was in his turn on the bench. The defense ate him alive. I never thought I'd have sympathy for Jackson (other than the sympathy I'd have for anyone so divorced from reality that they'd be better off being put down), but the longer this trial goes on, the more it seems to me that this is just a family of vultures out for money with made up accusations. But then that's just me...

Alissa Clancy the morning DJ on KCSM played a set of Ornette stuff this morning; it was nice to hear, although my work rate slowed down noticably...

I'm not sure which my favorite is, but my least favorite is "Conversations with Myself". I had to quit listening to him for a few months after hearing that, and I've been afraid to give it a second listen for fear I could never listen to him again.

My dad said something similar, although the second part was "remember you're an obnoxious little prick, and no one wants to hear it." Okay, maybe that's not so similar...

Damn, I knew I'd blow it...

I've liked Dewey ever since I screwed up and ordered Momentum Space from BMG... Joshua I've had mixed results with. My first try "Timeless Tales" started out kind of dull and got worse with each listen. On the other hand, "Wish" is one of my favorites. I'd say the jury is still out on Joshua, but I imagine he'll be looked at more and more favorably as memories of his youthful hype/expectations fade. While I haven't picked up any of his more recent outings, what I've heard on the radio sounds pretty damned interesting, unless of course your the type that's trying to keep jazz in a little box. (Which is not to say that's the only reason one might not like him by any means; I've just heard the complaints..."that's not jazz!")

PLEASE tell me he's not still using that "Perfect Strangers" cover... Please don't tell me you know the name of the show on the cover of the TV Guide! If that ain't it...I don't! Not only that, I'm smug about it... I didn't watch TV at all for four years from '78 through '82 while I was in the Navy, so if it was on then, I don't know. In any case, I'll admit to not knowing that show. And being annoyed by it whenever I accidentally came across it...
