But seriously, I get where y'all are coming from; the thing that's always made me extremely uncomfortable are these beauty contests for little girls, with their make up, halter tops, etc. I mean, at least here we're waiting until after puberty... It would be nice if kids were allowed to be kids, at least for a while.

Uh, yeah, but I did so because your post seemed to imply that not having TV was an awful thing for a parent to do to a kid. Yeah, NO TV, all in caps implied that this was some terrible thing. It isn't, believe me.

I have to agree, Big Wheel. The stuff Fantasy packaged as 'acid jazz' was more the type of stuff sampled in the new music rather than the new music itself. When I think 'acid jazz', I'm more apt to think US3 rather than a sixties souljazz artist...
