  1. If he'd hid as a mime, he'd still be free...
  2. Ah yes, but for better or worse, drama is all part of the internet experience...
  3. It's what Gort would have replied with if he could talk...
  4. Almost as often as the elevator door closes faster when you push the 'close door' button?
  5. Because they're cool... B-)
  6. I'd skip it myself. I'd prefer the past remain in the past. I'm not the person I was years ago, and odds are, neither is anyone I knew then. Okay, except the pot smokers of course...
  7. Ignore this thread, Conn! This is where we came in! (Sorry, guys; a little joke...just remembering a similar thread on the BNBB that got us sending uh...'interesting' PMs back and forth for a while...)
  8. By the way, if you do decide to hang here, you might want to work on that sense of humor a bit...
  9. A name is just a name, Ted, if that really is your name. On the internet you can never be sure if anyone's name is real, so the "false" names are not different than the "real" names. No matter what name anyone uses, you still have to get to know them through what they say (their posts), so what difference does it make? It's not like you'd see my real name and think "Ohhhh, that guy", because you don't know my 'real name' any more than you know my handle. What I mean is, I have no more anonymity using "Jazzmoose" than I would having my real name. It's not like anyone I know in 'real life' would ever go to a jazz board anyway... There is a collary in internet life, though, and that's using more than one handle on the same board to deceive. Definitely frowned upon.
  10. ...reminds me of this one:www.penisland.net
  11. And yet when I shut it off, an advertisement pops up....
  12. I dunno, to be honest. He just sounds like he's trying too hard or something. Reminds me of Kenny Hagood in that when I hear either of these guys singing, I see Bill Murray doing his lounge lizard act on SNL. I don't know if that explains it well, but there it is...
  13. I've heard Eddie Munster is good. No, wait...that's not quite right somehow...
  14. Wow! I can't believe they were able to do that!!
  15. I thought Private Benjamin was okay. Certainly not in the realm of movies that are being discussed here. As for Stripes, it was a pretty darn good half-a-movie, until they realized it actually wasn't a one hour TV pilot and had to tack on the last part. But then making a movie about boot camp has to be just about the easiest thing in the world. The first half of Full Metal Jacket was great. Then it began to meander. Hell, even Jack Webb was able to do it.
  16. Well...that goes against what has happened in baseball, hasn't it? The big juicers end up on the DL more often, don't they?
  17. Talk about derailing a thread! Okay guys; we know what to do: head for the political forum. Jeff, you use Witchita Lineman, Chris-take Green, Green Grass of Home....
  18. There's an Isaac Hayes version????
  19. If you are of an age when you were actually 'into' the Power Rangers, then you're still little in my book. I was thinking the same thing. Heck, I thought I was young because I remembered Lassie as a forest ranger's dog rather than belonging to Timmy and June Lockhart... Lassie was once a forest ranger's dog??? You bet yer ass; I was a Lassie Junior Forest Ranger, with a certificate and everything! Hmmm...I keep forgetting to put that on my resume...
  20. No, no, no; that's not right. It's 'by the time I get to Pheonix, she'll be waiting" isn't it?
  21. Wow...might as well let the cat out of the bag. Barb and I will be moving as well, but not any time soon. We're talking a year to 18 months out. Like Jeff, I'm also burnt out on the whole California experience, and my other half is finally agreeing. However, it is definitely a good news/bad news scenario. She wants to move close to our son and his family. You know, see the grandkids grow up. And as soon as he can manage it, he's getting out of the Army (yeah, I know; when is that gonna be?) and they've already decided where they're going to live. So it looks like I'm going to end up spending the rest of my life in Louisiana. Jumping Jesus on a stick. Louisiana???? I dunno....
  22. Wow...I'm tempted!
  23. Did pasta just say we were all fat?
  24. And it's Seabiscuit pulling up on the backstretch...Kamuca...Seabiscuit...Kamuca...Seabiscuit...
  25. Either A Scanner Darkly, or for some strange reason, The CounterClock World. But any would be nice, filmed right.
