  1. Just the same old rumors of MD.
  2. Like an ice box today, but that should clear up on Monday and things should begin to melt.
  3. That's pretty twisted.
  4. Happy Birthday Don Van Vilet, 65 years old today!
  5. All that and grey too.
  6. I often feel the same way. Two is just not always enough. Why have two when there's the possibility of three. Folks spend way too much time thinking about 4' 33" when there's other issues to explore.
  7. I'll have to give that material a fresh listen this weekend. Maybe I'm missing something.
  8. Oh, you'd like that, would you? :eye:
  9. Pick up In the Court of the Crimson King, Larks' Tongues in Aspic (or Red), and Discipline. Those should give you a nice introduction into the group's 3 most important periods. Guy well, they have done quite a bit since 1980, so i would add Thrak and The Power to Believe to this list to get a better representation. But while they are heavy, they don't really break any new ground. I think Larks' Tongues in Aspic (or Red or Starless and Bible Black) and Discipline would be a great introduction to this band.
  10. I guess you're talking about the Terry Riley shot? I feel like I should be buying scores and studying them. I'd like to have a closer look at Triadic Mammaries.
  11. Christian Wolff, Earle Brown, John Cage and Morton Feldman.
  12. John Cage, Lejaren Hiller and Morton Feldman.
  13. Terry Riley and Morton Feldman.
  14. I was just listening to Remain in the Light a few days ago.
  15. Holiday in Berlin, Full-Blown.
  16. I thought that might be what you were looking at. Weather.com can be kinda iffy.
  17. Really...I see 54 on 1010wins and 57 on weather.com, but whatever...I'd like to see us hold on to this weather pattern for another two months. Anything about 40 this time of year is great, but abouve 50? Hot dang!
  18. Oh yes! WKCR was playing Feldman this morning and right now I'm listening to http://contemporary-classical.com/feldman.jsp.
  19. I hear ya. I promise not to resurrect the Stupid Question thread... Did someone mention the Stupid Question thread?
