So my response won't get lost in the "what are you listening to thread", I'm starting a new one. I have a couple of CDs by him. Kool stuff (for folks who don't know what Tabla Tarang is: it's a set of tablas tuned to a scale, he plays raga on tuned percussion). I've only heard this one disc. Which of the others would you recommend first? My guess is that you have Smithsonian/Folkways SF40436.

Thanks David. I know what you mean about late Trane and that's not really the kind of c.c. that I'm talking about. It's the kind that I'm sure that you've heard that often involves endless noodling - you know, very little substance which is far from late Trane. Thanks Louis and welcome to the Board! Right now there are no firm plans, maybe a few San Diego/LA sort of dates. My sister lives in the Bay area, I know a few other people in the area. I should get a CD done first.
