Can't say that I am--good stuff? This is interesting, at least: You Never Give Me Your Money Definitely but still prefer the master although some interesting improvising going on. Can't say that I am--good stuff? Some, yeah. Some real remixes, using all sorts of tools and sources, and some mashups. Not all of it works, but when it is good, it is good. Here's a mashup - not perfect, but almost: http://www.youtube.c...feature=related Whoa--the missing Em-A7 in the first line is a real harmonic mindf**k. I mean it resolves, but--for a second--it's kind of floating there. Weird stuff.

Were there "moderators" back then? I think it was just Jim and his brother. There was certainly no J.A.W. which is the biggest difference now. Hans is doing a good job keeping the board the way Jim wants it. Thanks Kevin, I wasn't sure about moderators then. My other point was that while perhaps it is good to have more information (even for a seller) - it does not seem fair if that info is not correct. That's rather unfortunate and that is why it's a good policy not to complain about buyer and sellers publicly because once a reputation is ruined it's hard to get back, especially if not all information is correct. The best thing to do is handle this by pm.

Guy must have been smokin' some serious peyote or something. Good yarn though.

They already did. He played his first game vs. the Phillies on Tuesday. He looks really awesome. Great defense - played RF better than our scrub Ben Francisco did. He has speed and he can hit. Don't know about his power and I hope not to find out any time soon According to what I just read, in Double A this season he had 21 homers and a .726 slugging percentage. Not too shabby I guess!

Yes, their exchange rates are not so good, particularly if you compare them to something like xe.com. I suppose that's one way to make a little extra money
-
They don't charge a fee for doing that. On paypal, you don't generally get charged fees if you send money.

Further to Ted O'Reilly's post, life is going to get tougher for pitchers in the NL East. The Marlins are calling up (or may have already done so) a slugger by the name of Mike Stanton, who is supposed to be the real deal.

I assume these are titles BN is retiring, not just True Blue deciding to cut stock.

I have Dish also and no MLB We also don't get Yes, the Yankees network. I'm not a Yankee fan but would like to be watch their games once in awhile. Ain't happenin'

Definitely overdue. Whether it happens for La Furia Roja is another story.

If I don't like an artist, I won't be buying his output and or selling his CDs. However, there may be times when I don't care for him but others when I do. Not sure how one cannot care for Art or Lee but we all don't like the same thing do we

Wow, 14Ks. That's pretty amazing.

Goddamn lawyers. Yeah, we're a necessary evil, aren't we I think you could have said something to the effect that you had exchanged pms with Hans about the issue but that you didn't see eye to eye. In other words, talk about the issues with publishing the pms verbatim.

Well, at one point this year, the Braves were 5-14 on the road, and turned it around, you just never know. Speaking of never knowing. Frenchy! I think he was hitting .211 at his lowest point, and looked like he might become a 4th outfielder when Beltran comes back. Next thing you know, he's hitting .268! I just wish someone could show him the stats on strikes thrown to him with 2 strikes. I bet not one in ten pitches would be a called strike. I was ready to write him off also, particularly when his average sank to about .211, figuring that Angel Pagan, who has played well this year, would become the right fielder when Beltran returns but he has been torrid lately. He was dropped into 7th or 8th in the batting order and it seems to be working for him. I guess the question will be who plays right field.

Getting rid of that gosh darned Facebook!

Great commentary by Bill's friend Tasara. People are always trying to get at your money. To me, that is the whole evil purpose of advertising and marketing: to make you purchase things you don't need. Not all advertising and marketing is evil but most is. -
The Rules we have in this Forum are here: http://www.organissi...tion=boardrules I did not violate any Rule. If there really is a rule it should be written. Add it to the posted Rules. In this case Hans was overzealous in deleting my post. Deletion is a harsh sanction and should be used ONLY when one of the posted Rules has been violated. First, Jim said it's an unspoken rule which implies a custom or practice. As you know a custom or a practice can be just as effective as a written rule. Second, the first written rule says as follows: "1) The Organissimo Forums support the notion of free speech, although the definition of "free" is defined by the owners and operators of this board. We reserve the right to edit, delete, or otherwise moderate any post we deem inappropriate at any time for any reason." I did not add the emphasis by the way. Based on the foregoing, it seems that Jim and the mods have wide latitude in what should be allowed and not.

Can't say I blame you Chris. That would drive me crazy also. -
As a former moderator on another forum, where we have exacting rules on commenting on sellers and their auctions, I believe Hans did the right thing. He has also acted judiciously in making his comments. I also believe it's wrong to publish the contents of a pm discussion. I would be incensed if that had happened to me when I was moderating. Moreover, if someone had started a thread criticizing one of the mods for their actions, it would have been quickly deleted which, by the way, is what I think should happen here.

This may drive Chris crazy but I was just looking at Facebook and it said "Chris Albertson: Add as Friend." Sorry Chris -
Nice homage to Gigi Hans. Will need to pull that one out as well.

That's a good one, though I actually thought Between the Assassinations (by the same author) was better. Something to look for later perhaps. It almost reminds me of the picaresque type of books that I read back in college. Kind of like Lazarillo de Tormes. Regardless it paints a less than flattering portrait of modern India.

Mets continue with best home record. Trouble is that on the other side of the ledger they have the worst road record. They could be half dangerous if they could just win an occasional road series.

I finally picked this up today. I don't have the original issue so nothing to compare it to but the sound (listened in my car) seemed typical to me of other Stones Cds I have: ok but not great. I didn't really remember most of the music except for a couple of songs so good to listen to them again.

And he looks like Grant Green. MG I guess that shows how skilled Grant aka Pele or Pele aka Grant really was
