  1. I have the CD as a burn. It's been a couple of years since I listened but a lackluster affair is not what comes to mind.
  2. Double agree with Hans. Selects are bare bones; just the original music and the original liner notes.
  3. That noise would drive me crazy if I were her opponent.
  4. I have a TOCJ of Blue Train. I think I paid too much for it because shortly after it was released in the US.
  5. Any thoughts about the Higgins Cds?
  6. According to Borders' web site, the Kahn book is not due out until September 30. It's not listed on Amazon.
  7. All of them? Amen to that brother. However, if you don't want to do that, the one thing you have to get is the Complete Savoy and Dial (the 8 disc set), plus the three disc Live Performances on Savoy. Bird's rendition of White Christmas is worth the whole set. Another essential is the Verve. If you don't want the Complete set (also 8 cds I think), Verve did a master set of about 3 or 4 cds). The Jay McShann stuff is also great. The Upttown concert with Diz is also very good.
  8. I've got a Cd entiteld "The Hard Drive" that's got Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and the Max Roach Quintet on it. It's from Classic Jazz (CDCD 1095). Is that the one you mean?
  9. I hate to sound like a broken record but how could the vault be tapped out of Three Sounds material as there hasn't been a RVG or a Conn (unless I've been doing a Rip Van Winkle).
  10. You have no excuse for that one. Got that one just in time. Phew. Oh, yeah, the Commodores. Who doesn't wish they had that?
  11. Does that mean Conns as well as RVGs, not to mention anything else?
  12. Ordered this last week. Should be here today.
  13. Don't know if #1 is still available. Just sent a Pm.
  14. Dudes, no love for The Three Sounds. I'd buy if I didn't have 'em.
  15. Recommended, in my view.
  16. These guys were great when I listened to them but it's been many a year since that time.
  17. I had barely heard of Metallica until my son (who is a metal head) became a fan. Of course, he now has all their stuff and I dig it too. I loved their induction last night and just wished they'd done more songs. I thought the whole show was great, particularly Wanda Jackson.
  18. That's my question too.
  19. Indeed, grab anything by him.
  20. It's possible that someone may have posted and if so my apologies but this is an amazing video of the notes dancing off the page.
  21. Up for those who may have missed it.
  22. I have reduced the prices on the CDs that I'm offering except for the Blues for Lou.
  23. Not 'to your taste?' It was mixed and, yeah, decided to ditch it.
