Don't know if you're into organ, but you need some Jimmy Smith and the two Baby Face Willettes are necessary as in anything Grant Green.

He was a great broadcaster, with a very distinctive voice. Loved to hear his games.

I'm a big Spain supporter and I'm of course I'm happy but I do feel for you. It's a gut wrenching way to lose. From what I saw of Russia Greece, neither deserve(d) to advance. Hope Sweden makes it through.

Never moved me. Total disagree.

I'm not sure this is the right place for this but I was at F.Y.E. yesterday and someone had dumped a whole bunch of box sets. They were indicated as used but looked brand new. They were selling two of the Pepper Village Vanguard Set, Evans' Secret Sessions, two of Henderson's Milestone Set, Pepper's Hollywood Sessions and Sonny Rollins Freelance Years box, all for $39 each. I grabbed the Village Vanguard set, which sounds great.

I know this is a pretty old post and it may have been mentioned recently, but the old links don't work anymore, presumably since Mosaic recenty changed their web site.

Gym Grunter Not Assaulted by Silencer, a Jury Rules

Yeah, I saw that article in today's paper. As annoying as some of these people are with their Blue Tooths and everything, I'm not sure the action taken by Carter was (to say the least) appropriate. -
Am I the only one who finds Van Basten II's use of danasoft.com/

I guess this could have been handled privately but, well, it's over... -
He doesn't have his own sign on. I used the other ipod used yesterday and then he used it last night to update so it worked well. I think it probably recognizes just one user account.

If it's not essential, why do we belong to this Board and why does this Board exist? What is the expression: music soothes the savage breast?

You have to ask?

Thanks Noj but let's forget the ipod and concentrate on that image. Hmmm

This may have been discussed before so my apologies if it's repetitous. My son has an ipod and has all of his songs on our computer. My wife just got one as a present (a Nano) and would like to put her songs on it. Can you have two ipods using the same computer. His is set for automatic uploads and syncing. If possible, I would imagine hers would have to be set for manual. Thanks.

I'm generally with Chuck on this one: Did he create bop? No but he did play with one of the greatest bop bands ever. He certainly didn't create hard bop but was involved and headed some great groups. He was an influence but a pioneer is someone like Bird or Diz. I don't put him in quite that category.

I remember that it was deleted from the BN catalogue not that long after it was released. Was shocked that they pulled it that fast. I remember we had some discussion about it on the old BN board.

This sums up my attitude entirely. When I first started listening to jazz, I found Bird Flight indispensible. However, as I learned and listened more, I outgrew him and he kind of gets on my nerves now. The guy who I like to listen now in the morning is the drive time person on Tuesdays. He goes by the moniker Symphony Sid. Not sure what his last name is.

Definitely agree with this. Cool Struttin was my first Sonny album, not to mention one of my early Cds. Still love it.

He was in a very good movie, the Sergeant, made back in 1968, ahead of its time. Can't really remember seeing him in anything else but I remember that movie as being very good.

not so safe deposit boxes

This is actually common although these are bad examples. They're called escheat laws. If property is not claimed after awhile, the state has the right to seek and obtain the property from the holder of the property. This can often amount to uncashed checks. This is a problem for corporations and the one I work for is always dealing with this matter. Many times (more often than not), states band together and appoint a firm to recover these amounts. It's just a fact of life. -
Oscar Peterson Verve Trio Mosaic set on the horizon
Brad replied to Bluerein's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
If they can make a Peterson Mosaic, why can't we at the very least get a Three Sounds Select or even a little itty bitty CD? -
Digression thread: Coherence is overrated

Rationality is over rated. How about that? -
Also, the more points the smaller your font will have to be and I think it will stand out more if it's easier to read.
