  1. Yep, me too, there's always a sense of excitement when I put on a Andrew Hill disc; it's like I just purchased it for the first time , and then the listening experience starts all over again.

  8. This set is ok, I don't see the fuss about these two tracks, and I am ok with the Conn 45 sessions. These two tracks are not on my radar, and if I hear them, I'm going to believe that the Conn is still ok with me. FWIW, this is my go to Ike (KEEbec) record:

    Yeah, the vocals. Weird. I know that name, Aebi, and that is a matter of taste. It's packed but I think I can obstensibly tolerate the late 70's Black Saint/Soul Note material, e.g.,

  13. Really like the Wayne Vee Jays, this is the only one I don't have. Yep. Think everything Mingus is a good one. Such an enjoyable record. Great stuff.
