  1. That "boy in short pants and bow tie" thing... I think it was on its way out right around the time I was born. Either way, it hung on long enough in certain circles into the later 60s to the point that if the boy in question was old enough to speak in complete sentences...it was Too Cute For Comfort. And just look at how at the end of the last scene, Parks leans in for a kiss of approval and JUST KEEPS LEANING IN... omfg.
  2. Was it filed under Pepper Adams?
  3. Probably impossible, in fact. It's a pretty old record... And yes, you are, of course, correct. I know you live in Japan. Is this a type of music that you have occasion to hear performed live?
  4. I am not at all easily triggered, at least not as I understand it's current meaning. But knowing now what was then left unspoken, there are some spots that are a bit, uh....squirmy-squeamish.
  5. If you're not easily triggered by various things, absolutely!
  6. Indeed! And that's one of the potentially-triggering creepy things. But only one. There are SO many!
  7. It's a song with meaning.
  8. That's some freaky Mohawk that Zoot had!
  9. No, but closer to the ground on the SU family tree! Not a bad guess, not at all! Just not a correct one. Sorry!
  10. Might be more than a little creepy-triggering for different types of some. but if nothing else, check out the closing credits.
  11. Thanks for your response, and please feel free to continue listening and commenting!
  12. That's quite the adventure! All's well that ends well!
  13. It does...but it isn't. Not like that, anyway. The MEV comparison will be appropriate in terms of rough chronology, but that's it.
  14. You are most correct!
  15. Yes, NYAQ.
  16. No Ra on this record, and not a bootleg. #7 is a group that you may well have at least one other record by. Thanks for listening!
  17. Correct!
  18. Operators are standing by to take your calls!
  19. Ballads we're originally meant for dancing.
  20. Dan?
  21. I know I see a mix of legit label items and those WTF origin-ed "albums" side by side. I'd like to think that the original albums are at least some sort of quality mp3 or higher, but...who knows? And nothing would surprise me, to be honest. But I'm loving Spotify. If Pandora is like a radios station, Spotify is like a record store with a listening booth. And commercials, but good lord, I grew up on Top 40 AM. Commercials are like my briar patch.
  22. What type of files does Spotify stream? Is it constant across the platform or do they just work with what they can get?
  23. Is Mickey Tucker on piano, organ, or both?
