What's wrong with wanting to talk to Megyn Kelly?

Is this just for AZ or for all currently available vaccines? Not hearing about it in the US, just the anapalavtic thing. Sure hope there is a dilligent data collection apparatus around stuff like this. "Warp Speed" was certainly needed, but... that's where shit begins, should not be where it ends.

Are you reporting this back to your health authority? AZ not yet in use here...what kind of trial/testing did it go through? Maybe it IS the flu? Just what we need...

Can we be careful about the whole "lots of healthcare staff are refusing to take it" thing, please? If you have a replicable source for this sort of thing, please provide it. Otherwise, "I heard that..." or "somebody told me..." is not really helpful. Proving that somebody said something is one thing, but proving that what they said is really accurate is an altogether different proposition, and is really what is important Thanking you all in advance for your consideration because, you know, facts still matter.

And maybe it was not a reaction to the vaccine? Or maybe it was. But if it was, it's not one of a type that's been documented in a way that I've seen. Which doesn't mean a lot... But if his wife is a doctor, surely she would report this, surely there is a protocol in place for such things. Surely? There's anecdotal "causality" and then there's provable causality. With this Warp Speed process, it's more than a little important to determine which is which. So I would hope this guy's case is undergoing further review, because "I took it and nearly died" just by itself doesn't really help anything or anybody.

That 15 minute wait thing is SOP for any vaccination (including, ideally, a standard flu shot). As Brad noted above, it's to keep you in place in case you do experience an anaphylactic reaction. Jab and Go is not a good idea. Fast food, yes, newly developed vaccine, no. This shit ain't perfect, but it beats the alternative. If they want to hold you for 15 minutes after the shot, let them hold you for 15 minutes. This is medicine as a developing story, not TCM, ok?

Over the last month or so, we've signed up for - per the advice of state and county officials - call/waiting lists for our county, our health care provider, and our pharmacy. Nobody's called us back yet, although my daughter-in-law's mother has gotten called by the county and is due for shot #1 early next week. The whole thing seems to be a disorganized clusterfuck up to this point, hoping that new leadership (from the top down) can get it all in line sooner rather than later. Until then, we are still hunkering down, and will do so until we get that second shot. Right now, it seems like a parade that started before the route was laid out. No wonder the drum majors don't know where the hell the band is supposed to march!
