Let's take a Windows-y approach to this and uninstall the existing iteration of the app and then install a new one, from scratch. No guarantees that that's a fix, but being a Windows user means never having to not be ready to say "hey fuck it, let's just start the whole damn thing over".And for some perverse reason, I feel comfortable with that reality. And you doctor only uses Facetime, no other video conferencing application(s), like Skype, or Duo?

COVID-19 2.0: No Politics edition

Regarding refunds and/or the lack thereof, as mentioned in the locked thread, cash flow is a bitch. -
Ok, unlike our leadership, I am not afraid to step in and do my best to flatten the curve sooner rather than later. Thread closed, all posts intact, and take care Kevin!

Well, here's hoping that you have 14 days of boring, asymptomatic life.
-
Keep us posted, please, and best wishes! Also, how does this work as far as testing? Do you not get a test unless/until you start developing symptoms, or what?

Free Metropolitan Opera streams starting 3/16

Hell, she can sell the yard, just leave my records alone! -
IIRC, Pangea was released in Japan more or less contemporaneously (i.e, within a year's span) with Agharta. Dark Magus didn't come out in Japan until after the hiatus (not yet "retirement") hwas underway. Definitely not released close to the time it was recorded. Liebman was still on the band. Yeah, here's the dates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Magus

Playing Favorites: Reflections on Jazz of the Later 1940's

I just like the cover photo on the Alamac. As far as who's together or not, hey, it's Sweeden, 1950. Just do the math. My expectations are different. What I'm listening for on stuff like this is not how well they play as much as it is what they're trying to play. What are they hearing? What does it appear that they THINK they are hearing? Of course that's true at some level for most all music, but for stuff like this it seems to be more germane to the core of the experience. -
Same here, and it stayed that way for a good while.

Organization aside, it's a good model, especially for the current socialization landscape. -

It's a good model, I think. -

"Au Private" is/was pretty much a standard call for at least three decades! As for KC Blues,...one of Bird's most memorable solos, I think, and although in now way a "composition" (or even a head), still, fedrtile ground for further engagement. -
No Denny McLain, please.
-
And not just in times of "unusual circumstances"!

Oh, one more thing - I'm seeing that local "arts" concerts that are being cancelled are offering credits for future gigs, or an opportunity to donate the tickets back to the organization for a tax-deductible contribution, all sorts of options except getting a straight-up refund. Cash flow's a bitch, ain't it. I've been told that, at age 64, I am considered "elderly". Who knew? I've also been told that at one local hospital network, if it gets to be crunch time in ICUs with limited resources, that "young" people will be prioritized over "older" people for resources like ventilators. Kinda the ultimate "Ok, Boomer"! Nature - and administrative decisions - will show us yet that we are not meant to live at the center of ours and everybody else's universe forever! So, it's time to just stay at home as much as reasonably possible, avoid crowds as much as possible, just keep a safe distance in all ways in all things, and keep an eye on Craigslist for ventilators.

Just to get it over with.

I think Roy & Dale must've had a whale of a tale...

Dale was an Evans.

We rely on each other. Ah ha. Ok, were you at this gig, physically or virtually? Or was this information provided to you from somebody else. That guy was a fine, sometimes great, pitcher, but, by damn near all accounts, a total head case. Talk about somebody who needed to just drop in to see what condition his condition was in, there one is, or was, as the case may or may not turn out to be. Here's Discogs on Sax Kenny Rogers, and good luck googling him to find out if he's still alive: https://www.discogs.com/artist/754750-Kenny-Rodgers?filter_anv=1&anv=Kenneth+Rogers https://www.discogs.com/artist/754750-Kenny-Rodgers?filter_anv=1&anv=Kenny+Roger https://www.discogs.com/artist/754750-Kenny-Rodgers?filter_anv=1&anv=Kenny+Rogers

Ok, I've accuratized it to the fullest of my understandablational comprehensivation capacity. Hey, check it out: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/kenny-rogers-on-bass.1236774/

On a serious note, is there any chance that it was the saxophonist Kenny Rogers who passed away? I just assumed he was already gone, but maybe not. I think this guy is the same one that played with Lee in the 50s, and if so, RIP>

I'm not ready to change the title yet. After all, it was announced at Lincoln Center, which means it's official.
