  3. it was at this shlock-hole of a jazz club, called Tulas. The show started at 830, i got there 3 quarters through, in time for the last set around 1130, and they still wanted like a 20 dollar cover- i told them to fuck themselves, so i sat at the bar for free. After the show i was gonna give my hard earned money directly to Hadley, but he was telling me that i could buy one of his new cds which is gonna be released soon. so heads up on that you guys!! i was really nervous but i asked him what his 1st record date was, and he was all: oh it was such a long time ago....but i was trying to ask him about what albums hes on, pre Gerald wilson? orch (DO ANY OF U GUYS a KNOW?) anyways he was all: I replaced Teddy Edwards in the GW orch, and was on a lot of the latin stuff, like Viva Tirado...but i was under the impression him and Teddy Edwards recorded like a sax duet together, but he didnt mention that.....anyways they played Up jumped spring, a few ballads, it was all nice, but then for the last song....h.c. was all: and now we are going to play one of the great tenor saxophone duels, recording by Wardell Gray, and Dexter Gordeon: The Chase....and i was all *****HELL YEAH******** IT WAS SO GOOD IT WAS SO GOOD IT WAS SO GOOD IT WAS SO GOOD IT WAS SO GOOD IT WAS SO GOOD IT WAS SO GOOD
