this is a west coast jazz tragedy of the highest order. wig was #1 when it came to wcj jazz piano. that organ lp on hi-fi w/ harold land...i was not aware--- only know of him on organ on that one teddy edwards date, heart & soul, which i still havnt encountered. whats the title of the harold land one? is that one pretty hard to find? oh, i saw wig in LA with Kenny burrell. at first i didnt know who it was because i didnt know the band linueup and i had never seen wig before- but then KB introduced him, and i was happy

oh, and regarding groove: groove is one of the best b3 players for evolving beyond the stagnant sounds of 50s hard bop B3. in the 70s and 80s he played on newer hammonds and even had a special bass synth built for him for his bass lines. i love his 70s stuff, dont have his 80s stuff...is that stuff more throwback like mcgriffs 80s stuff was or is it different than that
