  1. u know it will all be on ebay one day dawg. thats where all our records end up, we only borrow them, for a short time

  4. perfect- thx!! i need to upgrade that teddy edwards to the orig issue
  5. werent there some 10" issues, incl a teddy edwards, i think... does anyone know of a link to it?
  6. i feel you dawg, i assumed kamuca was layin down good stuff on this, i tuned in to some of the guitar parts for a few seconds and i was all, this obvously is not a tal farlow or mundell or barney kessell level guy
  7. i always wanted this rare west coast jazz lp: turns out I HAD IT ALL ALONG, the exact some lp is also on tampa and i had it all this time, lolz! andex is obvs hella rare, i passed on this for 3 dollars today, i know richie kamuca victor feldman, ben tucker and stan levey are -the- guys but im not sold on this dempsey fellow. i listened to the tracks and im not grabbed yet. i would be interested, if you would like to share, of course, if you would get it and why. i know its on andex. like "mucho calor" anyways i listened to the tracks a little and i just cant see myself playing it 5 or more times in my life if i get it. let me be honest my 1st thought on this lp was, damn, if it was this very exact band, but with mundell lowe, i would be extreme-sold on it, so i was mad at dempsey from the very start.
  8. definetly dont see rvg stamps, my thing was oh its like a 45 of the sidewinder: hella popular so they cut it to lower quality control. i have one clearly recut only side 2 of the single. anyways thanks for your imput. so an original huh. it seems like if its an orig could it be a batch of records at a plant they didnt normaly use? its so odd! thanks u guys
  9. oh yea, thanx u guys, i might have the conn cd after all
  10. thanks, yea i just copy/pastd that pic- might buy a sealed stereo copy to upgrade my warped mono, not warped bad but 1st tracks are unplayable
  11. its a live date from 1959, orig here but i dont see it says elec. re channeld anywhere...could it be real stereo?
  12. it looks almost like a south american pressing, but id be wary to go that far,- very crude. cursive prestige logo on dark blue, no vangelder stamp as far as i can tell, unusal lip "deep groove" style by the spindle hole, and even more unusal very heavy-stamped crude number matrixes that i havent seen since old 30s rca victor 78s. you know what im talking about. anyways. i hope thats enough info. it is certainly not an issue from time of release but i suppose an early 60s issue, but from where i dont know
  13. is there an lp issue after the 70s UA issue which has also been hard to locate recently new BN reissued the sal salvador on 10" vinyl. this one would of been good too
  14. i want to see a box set: Weather Report at the Hollywood Bowl: 1979-1984
  15. is there a way to directly attch file, i see the way i copied and pasted it disapears, i will make a note of it
  16. the all star jam is something to behold- jj johnson + gene ammons + pat patrick + sun ra + ronnie boykins on bs and robert berry drums. 1958
  17. can someone point me to a link for that old very very extensive sun ra discography or sessionography online....it went from the 50s thru the 80s.....
  18. i have the template 100% spot on perfect now so if anyone wants all of it PM me. sections are as follows Sun Ra solo / rehersal / duet / trio / arkestra rare tapes 1948-60o Sun Ra session work (Sun playing in the band + sometimes arrangements) Sun Ra Arrangements (no Sun Ra playing but arranging only) **CONFIRMED ARRANGEMENTS **UNCONFIRMED ARRANGEMENTS as you pointed out above there is a LOT of stuff in the set that may or may not have to do w/ ra well i upon extreme careful listening, I wheedled it down to a VERY select number of unconfirmed arrangements that are most probs Ra. espically this one called "Nagasaki",--- what do you think----- the paul bascomb w/ the solovox makes sense to me too, how many other ppl were rockin that then. u know what i mean. the solo church organ solo pieces (some of the earliest material included) are incredible
