This really had me confused so I checked AllMovie Guide. Catrall was in a Star Treck film, but it was hardly an early one. It was number six, The Undiscovered Country. So, I suspect that the person you were thinking of appeared in ly someone who back then was quite nice, IMO but is now. to borrow a phrase from SNL, "A rapacious swamp sow": Kirstie Alley in Star Trek II, with her Vulcan Ears: And looking mighty fine without them, back in the day" (sorry for turning this into the Babe thread. Maybe I could post a picture of Kirstie now, to make you forget what she looked like then?

i am really bothered by this. i think we, as an organized jazz community should do something. I would be willing to contribute all of Organissimo's February donations to the cause. why not make it march and we'll have a fundraising drive?

oh how sad! but why did he stop playing?

listening today to the excellent "One, Two, Free" i wondered whatever became of Eric Kloss? he seems to have stopped recording in the early eighties! by my calculations he is probably in his mid to late fifties! did he become ill? or like shaw - disenchanted? or like grimes - did he fall of the earth? can anyone solve this jazz mystery?
