And it's always an apple, isn't it? Adam & Eve Newton The Beatles Apple Honest Abe was just sticking a karmic finger in the eye of human history. Good for him, I suppose. -

Meaning you're not a part of their target audience. I'm talking about those who are. -

As I said before, neither do I. But that's not the point, IMO. The point is that the overwhelming majority of people who do aren't going to spend that kind of money on one. And since most are already tied into phone contracts, and want bigger screens to surf the web...well... -

Only problem being that the Apple Watch isn't "new" technology. That tech has been around since at least the Palm Pilot. And unless one doesn't own a smart phone, they are perfectly familiar with it. They just shrunk it even further so that you can wear it on your wrist. -

Yeah, Ladd finished his playing career right here in Kansas City, IIRC. And yes, it was still the AFL at the time. I should have clarified. I've always considered it all NFL since they own all the rights and records... -

Don't forget Ernie "Big Cat" Ladd. He was part if Eddie Graham's Florida wrestling circle for a short time. Not sure where else he wrestled. Ladd never played in CFL, remember him doing Mid-South among others with Bill Watts. Oh! My bad! I misread and thought we were talking about NFL. No, he definitely never played in the CFL. I wonder how many former professional football players became regulars in the professional wrestling world. Dwayne Johnson doesn't really count, I suppose. Since he never really played professional football. But, there must be more than the three we've mentioned so far. -

Yes, after a trial by jury. Not because the media proclaimed him guilty. I said in that thread that the evidence did not look good for him. You were too busy trying to cram your guess down everyone else's throat as fact to notice. Although the "see, I told you so" childishness isn't unexpected. And yes, it was a great blast from the past. Showing you sliding into extreme belligerance simply because someone disagreed with you. Politely. But now it's poor little ol' downtrodden Dan when I ask "you do know it's fake, right?" Kinda hilarious that one of us is the only one who's told the other to fuck off multiple times. Isn't it? But hey, fine job controling your anger issues. -

IIRC, I paid something like $45 for my old watch. It was actually a really nice looking watch, most people thought it was more expensive than it was. If I ever buy another one, I may be willing to spend a little more than that. But it certainly won't be anywhere near $350! I realize there are people out there who spend $XX,XXX on watches, but not this boy. -

I do not wear a watch, have not worn a watch since 1974, don't even own one now, and can still find a way to know what time it is when it matters. And if I ever do buy a watch, it's not gonna be from Apple You know what else goes on your wrists? Handcuffs. Speaking of which, I don't wear a wedding ring either, and have remained faithful for every day - and night - of my marriage. So when Apple comes out with their iCockring, I'll not be getting that either. I can't imagine the Apple Watch being anything but a complete bust. Like you, I never wear a watch. Last time I did was when I worked in Ophthalmology and used it to do work ups on patients. But, I also wore a long sleeve dress shirt. It might just be me, but I've never liked the look of a watch when wearing short sleeve shirts. All that said, if I ever got back into a line of work that involved dress wear, I would likely get another watch. BUT, it sure as hell wouldn't be the Apple Watch. $350 for the cheap, plastic-y looking one?! Pass... -

It's not a matter of standing up for Dan; he can stand up for himself. I'm just sick and tired of you continuously trying to stir up shit. Dan has what I guess would be called "anger issues"; that is obvious to everyone. What should also be obvious is that he has put some serious work into controlling that problem. You, on the other hand, seem to come here only to poke him with a stick and see if you can get a rise. So while Dan has worked (with varying degrees of success) to better himself, you've dedicated your time here to being an internet troll. You really need to quit blaming Dan for your actions and look in the mirror. Yes, because what I said was just SO nasty and offensive. From his "elbow" comment it sounded as though he may have been amongst the holdouts who still think pro wrestling is real. I also stated that I do not like Dan. But, I did not blame him for anything I said or did, that's just something you made up entirely. But, enough of your drama queen tag team match. Though, I guess there's never been a more appropriate thread for it. Anyone not familiar with the genesis of this little feud can read all about it right here. Where once again I was obviously the rude and nasty aggressor in the exchange. -

Yeah, I have a real problem with Dan. What that has to do with you is way beyond me, since you and I used to get along. It's really too bad you feel the need to stand in on his behalf. I prefer to take on my own battles, and don't really get the buddy system. It's also pretty curious that when Dan gets nasty with other posters, I've never seen you chime in on their behalf. Doesn't he have a radio show as well? Or am I confusing him with someone else? *edit* Never mind, I believe it may be the Iron Shiek that has a radio show. -

I was a fan before that, when it was folks like him, Flair, Ron Bass, Blackjack Mulligan, Barry Windham, etc... The Four Horsemen thing was after my time. -

Hahaha... He did have a way of belittling the heels that was pretty entertaining. And his disgust always seemed so genuine. -

That's the wrestling I watched as a kid growing up in Florida. Gordon Solie had to have one of the most bizarre voices of all time. The irony of that post is astonishing. -

What a brain. Did they tell you about Santa Claus yet? You really have turned into a little bitch recently, haven't you? If you have something you need to get off of your chest, please feel free to pm me instead of continually taking your pissy little potshots on the forums. Thanks in advance. I keep forgetting that Ric Flair was the Nature Boy. Not sure why I always get his and Rhodes nicknames mixed up. That was my bad. -

You do realize pro wrestling is fake, right? The "elbow thing"was just a "signature move" that the promoters came up with. And the "Nature Boy" isn't heartbroken, he's dead. -
Well, it really seems to be no worse than most chain record stores used to be. Rock, Country, Jazz, Classical, and Rap pretty much covers it all!
-
I'm not sure why we'd ever see that. I think the upside is that titles will likely never go OOP again. Now, you may have to go to a different source to get it, but a digital master file will likely always exist. Either way, it seems as though subscriptions for exclusive content is even a dying business model. People want to buy stuff, content providers know that, so they'll sell it. Streaming may be a bit different, but streaming is more akin to over the air radio than old school record stores. Only exception being that I believe when you subscribe to streaming services, the commercials go bye bye.

Glad I got to see him back in 2007 with my then 7 y.o. son. Thanks for the fantastic music, Mr. Coleman.

Damn it!!!!

Am I the only person left who doesn't use any streaming service? Surely not.
