  1. Happy Birthday, Shawn! Hope you're enjoying life in L.A.
  2. I recently pulled out an ancient LP twofer and found some....um....seeds inside. I remember in college they were very useful for that purpose. :eye:
  3. Laraine Newman?
  4. I remember the early BN twofers had the polkadots (Thad & Mel, and also a Gil Evans/Gary McFarland come to mind), and then came the manila-colored twofers. I still have a bunch of 'em. And of course the Prestige twofers.
  5. Happy Birthday to both Armstrongs! Cowboys and Aliens?
  6. A couple good deals.... Roland Hanna solo piano Mulligan/Baker
  7. Or Paul Hogan?
  8. My second guess was Loretta Swit.....?
  9. Bonnie Hunt?
  10. And the family says she had a brain seizure from with drawl symptoms. We'll know more when the tests are in. Anybody that deep into their addiction has such a don't give a fuck/don't care attitude, it amounts to a death wish. I think you mean withdrawal symptoms Actually, here in Florida & Georgia many people show signs of "with drawl".
  11. "It All Comes Back To You" by Onaje Allan Gumbs. Definitely radio-friendly, but hardly a commercial throwaway IMHO. I've always liked the tune. BTW, whatever happened to Gumbs? I haven't seen a lot from him since the Woody days.
  12. Old dude better get that mole checked out.
  13. Manfredo Fest Clare Fischer
  14. Great news, man. Congrats!
  15. OK, I deleted my original post. My apologies, no intention to offend.
  16. I couldn't find a thread about the Miles film that's in the works, but anyway, I saw this interesting bit of info. Miles film The movie takes place over a day and a half of his life? Hmmm....I wonder if it'll be the time when he got hit by the cop outside the club. Although if it's going to consist of flashbacks it'll probably be a day and a half later in his life.
  17. Sad news. I'll always remember him for this. RIP
  18. Happy Birthday, Paps!
  19. Pittsburgh Steelers, circa 1972 or so. Also Packers, late 60s.
  20. Never noticed that. Must get the disc out again! Use headphones. You can hear the chair creak as he breathes & leans back between phrases. I actually think it's pretty cool.
  21. Clark Terry's noisy clacking valves on his duo recording w/Oscar Peterson. Miles' squeaking studio chair on Old Folks (on Someday my Prince will Come).
