I think this is an example of a tune's worth being diminished by having too many lame cover versions, especially of the *Muzak* type. Same thing happened to Girl From Ipanema. Both great tunes in their original versions.
I've always liked the original YATSOML.
Yes, Mr. Carson.
It's much more of an acoustic outing this time (compared to the more electric (and eclectic) Heartcore, which I also loved).

Many good choices, but Innervisions is the one. Loved it in college*, still do. Hasn't aged a bit IMHO.
*IIRC, it was a popular.....ahem.....*intimate*......album. Along with Jarrett's Koln Concert.
Oh, I definitely notice those edits. You're thinking "wasn't there more to that scene"? I think it's funny to see those cuts and think "apparently the syndication editor thought that was something that could be left out". And usually what they leave out is some of the best stuff. Frequently anything that is remotely subtle gets cut. I hate that shit!!
I know it's about money. Everything in the world is about money.
I don't get this. I don't see that much hostility here (other than minimal isolated incidents).
It depends where you hang out, I guess.
Sorry you feel this way.
I used my coupon to get "Doctors, Professors, Kings and Queens: The Big Ol' Box of New Orleans".
As it turns out, with the Borders discount it was still about a buck more than at CDUniverse!
These Borders "discounts" aren't really all that much of a deal when you consider how high their prices are to begin with (full retail ). The coupons just barely make them competitive with the online sellers.
But no shipping or waiting at least.
