The new "Pay-It-Forward" Music Giveaway Thread!!!
Dan Gould replied to Parkertown's topic in Offering and Looking For...
Blues for Jazzo still available ... plus ... Albert King, Chicago 1978 (Charly Blues Legends Live Volume 4). Turned out I had this in another incarnation. Free to a good home. Also, yours. -
Forgive me if my personal preference would be some Hank in those archives.
-
Radio France? I have no idea but consider what's been found with the Netherlands reissue program, or the Horace Silver quintet - which was a Paris show - which has not been in circulation. I think there could be many unheard/forgotten broadcasts to be cleaned up and released.
-
Well there must be someone with a discography that will tell us what this 1959 Monk studio date would be. Or is it lost so long no one even knows what it would be? Color me a little more curious about Radio France archives than 12 hours of Coltrane but that's just me and YMMVWV.

Up one more time, available thru Sunday then that is most definitely it.
-
UP for final price reductions. Items available thru Friday then they will be withdrawn. Thanks for looking.

Last offer: We store it in the "mother-in-law's" apartment on my property. (Shipping will be cheaper but I'll contribute the difference toward the purchase price.) You have full visitation rights and I'll pay the airfare. Deal?
-
What if I cover the postal charge and tell you that I know a member who has a reel-to-reel? Would that change the calculation?

Theo has to decide whether to bid on Chapman, and what to do with Fowler in CF. Schwarber returns to left, I am guessing Fowler is gone and Heyward goes to CF and Zobrist plays RF. Everyone else is team-controlled I believe. What I'd like to see is Lackey go to the 5th starter slot. Ideally he should never see this side of a playoff roster again. They won with him so all is good but I think he's on a steep downward decline.

I fucking HATE umpires who refuse to call strikes when the catcher sets up outside and the pitcher misses his spot and it's still right in the middle of the goddamn strikezone. That pitch before the walk was such a fucking strike it was ridiculous. And sainted Joe Maddon is a fucking moron to go to Lester and now its a whole new fucking ballgame. -

I hope its OK to slip in a 45 because the title is a hell of a command: Baby Put Your Legs Upside The Wall Let Me See If You've Got Bad Blood You can hear it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blues-45-Pops-Porter-Baby-Put-Your-Legs-Upside-The-Wall-Bar-Bare-VG-mp3-/381831726737?hash=item58e6f1c691:g:U0kAAOSwn7JYFRuS -

The other thing working in Cleveland's favor is that Hendricks had pretty strong home/away splits. Much much better at the Friendly Confines if I am not mistaken. -

He's the best you got and if he can do it again the Cubs can only tip their hats. (And blame themselves for that 1-0 shutout loss at home. How often has a home team been shut out 1-0 in a World Series? I guess its happened before but I can't imagine its happened more than a handful of times in all these years.) Cubs can complete the comeback if they get to Kluber. If he hands off to Miller and Miller is probably ready to go three or 3+ then they are in trouble. Cubs need to get to Kluber in the first three innings. And I am wondering if the game will be moved up an hour though last time they announced it the night before. They should, because the bad weather doesn't move in until 11 pm. 7 pm start means they could get it in tonight. I'm just glad the weather doesn't look so bad that MLB would pre-emptively postpone, and eliminate that short rest "advantage". -

November baseball and they'll be in short sleeves. High in the mid-70s and the low only dipping to 60 overnight. And nearly the same tomorrow if the Cubs can win tonight, but with 100% chance of rain Wednesday night and all day Thursday? -
They seem to have perfected the roll-over-mouse - launch-video technique but I've learned to keep the cursor on the periphery to avoid that. It's not perfect but I haven't been as frustrated with AMG as some people seem to be.

For reviews, I don't think so. For discographical information (releases by an artist and who played on what) try discogs.com.

Forgot you are central time zone. Also forgot how much I enjoyed watching games when I lived in St Louis. Yeah, 10:30 end times are so much better. -
Thanks. Funny how the same release lists "Ben Jedig". Anyway, our final acquisition is coming on, The Tender Touch of Junior Mance - Martin Rivera Duo (Nilva). $4.99 hits the spot a lot better than the $40 copy I saw on eBay which looks to be far worse for wear, too.

Even though you no longer work from home? I can't handle these late nights not with the dogs getting us up at 6 am. I hope to go to bed around the normal time on Tuesday night and wake up to good news Wednesday morning. Then I'll gird myself for the long night of Game 7. After running out first thing to get a bottle of bubbly. Gotta be prepared if it really gets to a final game for all the marbles. -
Philly Joe Jones, Round Midnight (Lotus) Concert in Italy with Dizzy Reece in the front line and is Ben Jedig really Bent Jaedig? I'm thinking its gotta be which makes me think I will enjoy this one.

Basie, Joe Turner, Cleanhead, Kansas City Shout (Pablo)
-
Joe Williams, One is a Lonesome Number (Roulette) Ok so most of the Roulettes aren't great but for $2.99 it had to be worth a shot.
