Is this a public domain release, or is it something that Concord released in Europe?

All three of my packs contained one Ellery Queen and two Alfred Hitchcocks. I ordered two more packs last night to see if I would get any different mags. -

You're welcome Weizie! I ordered three packs late Saturday night. I was delighted to find my package from Dell in the mailbox today. That's very quick for Media Mail. However, I am somewhat disappointed in what they sent. Remember, the mags come in packs of three, and I ordered three packs. Well two of the packs they sent were identical. And the third pack had one issue that was included in both of the other packs. So for my $6.75 I received five different issues. That comes to #1.35 each, which isn't bad, and I have four issues I can give away to friends and family. By the way, one of the issues is an Ellery Queen Christmas issue, which I am very happy to receive. Weizie, let us know if you have better luck with the packs you receive! And was the subscription to Alfred Hitchcock or Ellery Queen? -
Congratulations and good luck, Chuck!

LOL Chuck, I once had a deal to become the Official Cigar of the CFL Players Union, but the Canadian govt doesn't want cigars in the limited quantity I had in mind to cross the border. That is to say, the first shipment never made it.

Winnipeg has released Siddeeq Shabazz. The Bombers have a new general manager named Joe Mack, and he is putting his own stamp on the team. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/football/bombers-sign-receiver-jeffers-harris/article1536937/

Blue Note fans might like a new album by Chicago trumpeter Pharez Whitted called Transient Journey. It has a 1966 Blue Note sound, except when the electric piano is used, which brings it up to 1969. The sextet includes Bobby Broom. It is up at lala here: http://www.lala.com/#album/1657606138579261315/Pharez_Whitted/Transient_Journey

Here's an interesting mag deal I have found. America's best selling short story magazine for 75 cents. Dell publishes four digest (modern day pulp) fiction magazines - two mystery (Ellery Queen and Alfred Hitchcock) and two sci-fi (Analog and Asimov). I was surprised to read their claim that Alfred Hitchcock is "America's best selling short story magazine". Dell is offering back issues of Alfred Hitchcock and Ellery Queen, three for $2.25. Technically, it is $1.00 for the three mags, and $1.25 for the shipping. You can order as many packs of three as you like, but if you order multiple packs they won't guarantee that every issue is different. Dell chooses the issues. The offer is called the Dell Mystery Magazine Sampler Pack. http://www.themysteryplace.com/order/order_ahmm.aspx -
Winnipeg has signed Buck Pierce. I wish him well, but I don't think it is sporting to have a guy on the team who is injured as often as he is. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/football/buck-pierce-headed-to-blue-bombers/article1531511/

organissimo - ALIVE & KICKIN' - new live CD/DVD
GA Russell replied to Jim Alfredson's topic in Announcements
It has the same sound as This is the Place, but the band seems tighter to me. It never stops swinging, yet someone who is not into jazz would enjoy it too.
