  1. That's the idea! I think it's the flax seed. Anyway, I think that's why Kellogg encouraged his patients/clients to start the day with cereal.
  2. Various Artists - The Story of Bossa Nova This is a Brazilian compilation EMI put out in 2000 on the Odeon label there and on the Hemisphere label here. Some tracks are from the sixties, and some are new. I haven't figured out which yet. A few famous names, like Joao Donato, Walter Wanderley and Marcos Valle, but mostly people I'm not familiar with.
  3. Have Gun Will Travel, season 1 Peter Gunn, volumes 1 & 2 Dragnet, assorted Shotgun Slade, assorted
  4. Sorry to hear of it, Indestructible. The issue is why I was seriously looking into the Sony MiniDisk. When that hardware goes bad, you still have your disks with your time invested in them.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. GOOD GOD! For twenty years now, I've been looking for somebody who actually bought this stuff in hopes of understanding why it's on the shelves of every supermarket, in spite of the fact that the shelf space is ALWAYS full! LOVE the packaging on the that stuff, btw. I'll read the box before putting it back on the shelf. ← Yeah, put me down for Uncle Sam cereal too! Downright tasty with soy milk! I dig the little FLAX SEEDS floating about! Gives me the daily dose of Omega 3 acids. ← Better than Wheaties, and the price is right. I love it drowned in milk. Any time of day.
  7. Wes Montgomery - The Incredible Jazz Guitar of...
  8. My favorite Mosaic box: Paul Desmond, Disc 1.
  9. Now we should take bets on which will be the first to run low! My pick is the Bobby Timmons.
  10. Impossible, BMG's phone number is 317-692-9200. They might give you the answers to your questions, or a phone number of someone who will help you.
  11. I received a mailing from them over the weekend, very up to date, which indicates they have Jack Wilson - Easterly Winds back in stock. Cat. # 1600568. Also of interest to me is the Randy Newman box Guilty. Cat. # 2077857.
  12. I wouldn't have a problem with "Limit One Per Customer" if they would just say so on their website.
  13. This one got a great review in Sunday's paper here, 3 1/2 stars out of four, by a critic named Owen Cordle, who also writes for I believe DownBeat.
  14. Looks like another one to put on my YourMusic queue when the time comes.
  15. Noj, I've just clicked on this thread for the first time. Great work! I can see how your style would be very effective for CD covers.
  16. I agree, Ron. I have maintained a long list of items in my BMG cart, for a rainy day. Some items which remain there have since been deleted, such as Horace Silver's Song For My Father. The deletions occurred without warning. So I agree that putting everything of interest in one's YourMusic queue is the way to go.
  17. Ditto what Ian said.
  18. Running Low: Freddie Hubbard - Ready For Freddie
  19. Works great for me, Jim. Thanks!
  20. You and your family will be in my prayers tonight, Berigan. Best wishes.
  21. Talk about fast service! My order arrived yestserday afternoon, two days after it was shipped. The bad news is that every jewel case is damaged, some worse than others. But I don't worry about that; I have a box of jewel cases from BJ's. Right now I'm listening to Soft Machine Third, which I haven't heard in a long while. Great music!
  22. Thanks Alfred. I've been looking forward to trying an ArtistShare work.
  23. The last couple of Jim Hall's that I've bought have been a little too dry for me. Is this one along that vein, or a little more mainstream?
  24. Thanks for posting this, brownie! I wonder how many CDs a title must sell to break even. I also wonder why Telarc is the only label to make its titles available to BMG.
