Tonight was hummus, babganoush, tabouli salad and Moroccan chicken. A lot of work but worth it once I started eating(My wife loved it).

A very happy birthday to a great guy and someone who has hipped me to lots of great music. Sometimes I just check to see your most recent posts and I'm almost always finding something witty, informative, incisive, passionate, etc. Thank you for making this board such a cool place to hang out.

If, and I emphasize if, the Yanks are out of the Santana sweepstakes, what's to stop the Bosox from walking away from it all? If you take the view that the Bosox were in it primarily to drive the price up for the Yanks, if the Yanks are out then the Bosox can just tell the Twins to either go away or "Here's our package(reduced from previously)- if you want it, OK, if not, see ya." Thsi has largely been a two team market for this deal. If no one else makes a good offer for Santana, then maybe the Twins have overplayed their hand and they may get only the draft pick when Santana flies the coop after the season. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I understand Jim's decision but I'm still BUMMED about it. This is the first board I ever joined and easily the best. Great folks here and a body of knowledge that is unmatched. If $$ is what's needed I'll ante up on a yearly/monthly/whatever basis. if it's too late for that kind of rescue, well I hope to meet up with you folks somewhere else. Dick Vitale- TURN THE SOUND OFF-he's quite irritating Brent Musberger- Tries to make every game the 7th game of the World Series. He was broadcasting a college basketball game once, and after about two minutes there was no score. Someone made a shot and BM exclaimed"That basket was HUGE!!!". Duh, it's the first basket of the game- will anyone remember it at all? Chris Berman- nails on a blackboard. Why can't he be like his brother Len? Len does local sports on the news shows and is low key and smooth as silk. Walt'Clyde' Frazier- A man unafraid to drop some vocabulary when broadcasting. A player isn't just having a great game, he's 'omnipotent'. Great fun to listen to him extemporize loquaciously.

So there's your confirmation that Coco has some appeal despite his recent hitting struggles. I would think the Yanks would jump at a Crede-for-Damon swap since the salaries are quite uneven and I don't think they'd do any better than Crede. A Crede for Damon swap would be a good move for the Yanks IMO, it clears a little of the DH/outfield jam and makes it possible to sign Rowand and move Melky Cabrera to left with Abreu in right. The defense improves quite a bit that way and Matsui can DH and do some outfield. Paging Mr Cashman...

I once spent $35.00 for an Akira Sakata disc(import) becasue it had Pete Cosey on guitar. It was a very good disc. On the flip side I sold a single disc for $40.

I cracked it open yesterday and played disc 1 and WOW!!! Unedited and souding clear(original version seemed muddy at times), this is Miles going back to the future. Tomorrow night is disc 2 and I'm juiced about it.

I got my disc on Thursday and I've given it a couple of spins and I am lovin' it!!! Soulful, funky, solid and loaded with tons of greazze. It had so much greazze I slid off the sofa while listening and then squeezed my clothes out and lubed my car! Great job Jim and the rest of Root Doctor- you hit a homer here.

Always reason for concern, but Colorado sitting on their asses is not going to help them. I expect either team team from the AL to be a tough opponent and I do believe it will be Cleveland. If it's Cleveland in the WS it's the 8th year in a row with a different WS champ.

I have a couple of discs of sound effects that include various drills, vacuum cleaners, etc.

It was either on ECM or DIW, so it probably didn't sell very much. The music was really good, and I got to see Brass Fantasy once and they were excellent!

Paul, When you get payments via paypal there's usually a note indicating what the payment is for and the person's address. Juut check to see that the payment is correct and mail to the address. I sent you a PM asking for your Paypal details.

Funny how they think of everything- marketing, advertising, etc, but they never consider that sales are down BECAUSE THEIR BEER IS TERRIBLE!!!
