  3. I'd be interested in others thoughts as a friend recommended looking these up as well.
  4. Scott, I wish it was something as simple as refreshing the page. The board layout itself appears normal with all the sections and thread listings. The problem is when I access a thread to read the posts, it resembles something I listed in my initial post. I'm not sure how to correct this? I recently had an issue with a phony java update notice. It actually was a malware program. It appears I got rid of the program and subsequently have installed a new cyber security system Kaspersky, to rid any future irratants. I just would like to fix this problem. Strangely I do post on other forums and don't have this problem. Is there something as simple as clicking on some forum link to correct the layout? This might be something Jim Alfredson might have an answer to although all suggestions are most welcome. Otherwise in the short term, I'll just read the forums posts off the desktop.
  5. When I wish to read the responses to threads here on the forum, the layout now appears like this? How can I fix this and return this to the standard layout? 7. Bump! Hope to catch the show either tonight or Saturday night via the Smalls Live Stream. http://www.smallsjazzclub.com/
  8. I've been listening to the past few days many of Jackie's fine recordings for the label during the 1960's time period and must say what a sheer delight it has been to hear them after a long absence. If you too haven't listened to some of these sessions recently, why not dig back into the collection and pull a few out? See if you agree with my thoughts? Maybe post a few thoughts? That's my recommendation!
  9. Great to see you here! I've attempted to contact you also via the Hutch website, but have failed. Please stick around. You'll make a great addition especially in the listening section. The depth of discussion on boards like this, is not something I come across very often on Facebook for example, and furthermore the wealth of information you can find in the archives of message boards is something unknown to social media. Damn straight there!
  10. Rather than go back and read this lengthy thread, I believe I came across a discussion that it was possible to listen to Spotify over my traditional home stereo system? My desktop and stereo is located in the same room. I run off a Windows operating system. Can I make this happen? Do I need additional cables? Thanks!
  11. Recommended to me by a good friend.
  12. Thanks for plugging this!
  13. If you happen to know these folks email addresses, I would be more than happy to extend an invite to join us here. Not a problem on this end.
  14. Great to have you over here! I hope you can join us on a regular basis? You'll make a great addition to these boards.
  15. Happy Birthday, John!
  16. Happy Birthday, TD!
  17. I promised a fellow member on Blindman's Blues Forum I would post this here to help spread the word. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last night I had Tom Keener and Michael Maher from the Allen Public Library on my KNON Texas Blues Radio program. They are currently working on the first ever documentary on Texas blues legend FREDDIE KING and they need your input. They're looking for original photos, posters, and stories from folks who knew, played with, or attended live concerts by Freddie King. They're especially looking for folks who were at the 1969 Texas International Pop Festival in Lewisville, any other major festivals, or even small club dates. Any and all original remembrances of Freddie King are welcome. The family of Freddie King and the Freddie King estate are participating in the project. If you can't help, maybe you know someone who can? For info contact: Tom Keener at: 214-509-4911214-509-4911 or tkeener@cityofallen.org They have already interviewed Freddie's daughter (and executor of the estate) Wanda King, his brother Benny Turner, and many of Freddie's old band members. They are looking for release sometime in February of 2015. Please help spread this far and wide as they are looking for as much input as they can get. I've seen some of the interviews they have already done and it is a first rate project.

  22. Happy Birthday, Dan!
  23. Not having too large a collection devoted to either, I too prefer the symphonic works, I would side with piano concertos. One example is a recent purchase of the Murray Perahia/Mozart Piano Concertos. Great stuff.
