My wife just got off the phone with these idiots and they wanted to charge her over $200/year for renewing her subscription. She opted out. They said they would then charge her a $10 disconnection fee. After going back and forth with them she hung up. I got a number from there website and she managed to cancel the service without a hassle. We both love the service and the ability to listen to the cable news channels. Somehow I don't remember paying even close to that amount for renewing our service last year. Anyone else encounter these problems and ending up canceling there subscription?

I've been a fan of classical music since around 2000. It's been a musical evolution of sorts for me over the course of the years to want to explore other forms of music. I started out in my youth with rock, then blues, jazz, then classical. Unfortunately it's tough for me to set time aside to listen to classical music as I would like. Especially with a very busy schedule these days. I kind of feel I need to set time aside to give the proper attention to appreciate the music. In another life I feel I would come back as a huge classical music lover. I'm not certain if that's going to happen in this lifetime? At least I enjoy what I have and feel enriched by being able to appreciate some great music. Not many people can say that.

Paul, since it's been more than 5 years since you original post. What are your thoughts now?

I have to admit maybe a bit embarrassed, to say I was unaware of the Jazz Workshop recordings on Columbia/Sony till a short time ago when I saw them siting in the bin at a local Bull Moose store. I'll guess I'll wait till it stops snowing before heading back?

I guess that explains why I was in strong disagreement with his assessment concerning "Chet Baker In New York". He pretty much described it as a weak effort. Really???

At least 18 inches of snow over the weekend. Wind chills around 0 daytime, near 25 below at night. At least I'm off today for President's Day. This past week was probably one of the worst weeks I've worked in recent memory. 60 hours at least. Can't even begin to imagine what this week will bring.

Too bad. Of all these mega sets, I think Living Stereo #1 and 2 are my favs. I really ought to buckle down and rip them, as I am sure I would play the material a bit more often. Probably the perfect project for these cold Canadian winters... I really enjoy Living Stereo Volume 1 and have thought many times of purchasing Vol. 2. I just can't seem to catch it at a decent selling price. If folks here become aware of a price break, please let me know? Damn, that looks good!
